Actually, I’m not really bothered either. I’ve basically seen more diverse activities. That she just lies on the couch with her phone — well, she was doing that before too. But now she’ll go sit outside, then watch TV, then turn on music to listen to, she goes to the garden herself and is happy about the hydrangea seedlings, she spends time on the computer, and probably many other things too, I haven’t had time to check everything. The only thing that’s really too much is that they just stare at their phone in idle mode when they’re at work at Adam inc, but that might be because I play 24/7 - 4 hours. And I also noticed that zoi react emotionally, meaning negative conversation really provokes anger. I haven’t tested the others yet.
@Sephrenia just switched to my next rotation to find this:
The Zoi reading the newspaper is the one I am aiming to play now but the other 2 are sleeping on the bench just like your active Zoi was doing it. And while I dont now the female Zoi next to him, I very well know the other male Zoi as he is also part of my played households and he definitely has a nice home where he has a nice bed as well as his wife and his baby ![]()
@EllaEstella Is it one of these “Honey, I go get milk/cigarettes real quick!” scenarios ??
Looks like that

I found him this way at 6 am in the morning, so who knows what he was doing before ![]()
Another thing I noticed which is really a change from before the update:
Previously you were never able to meet the other residents of the city out in town just by coincidence except at these automatically scheduled daily events. Otherwise they were never just somewhere like at the beach, in a restaurant, at the fitness club etc. You would never just run into them when out in the city.
This now is the case! Zois really leave their homes to just go somewhere in the city and do stuff there, also outside these scheduled events. This is a nice addition.
She meets the sunrise![]()
My ones return home calmly. Well, I mostly send them home myself so they definitely don’t get lost. I really like that they now get in the car by themselves and drive, it’s just so cool.
Also, my zoi can go meditate and swim in the pool by themselves and perform different actions in it, as well as exit it on their own and so on. That is, not just sitting in one place reading a book, not just brushing teeth a million times, but actually a variety of actions and places, which is very nice.
Communication has become more active between zoi.
They’ve improved, but after the update we have a feeling caused by the fact that zoi are reconfiguring and learning, remembering who they communicated with, what they did, what relationships exist and so on, and of course that makes sense, because we remade the database. ![]()
I now tried out 2 different Zoi gathering events for meeting friends as a party event and I must say they now really do the activities they are supposed to do during the event. Partly even to an extent which becomes a little ridiculous ![]()
I made one event where the Zois met at the beach and selected only socializing activities for the gathering. It went really well. It really gave me the feeling of friends meeting for some time at the beach. They were moving around and chatting with their friends who were also invited to the gathering without me doing anything:
The second event I made at home and selected eating as an additional activity besides socializing. This was also nice but I must say they took the task to eat a bit too seriously. It looked like they had to eat as much as they can within these 4 hours. I had 2 group meals prepared for 8 people. After these were gone they started to take out quick meals from my Zois fridge and continued eating with some breaks to also chat with the other party guests:
Next time I will exclude eating from the preferred activities but the social gathering part is really working well.
I try to manage all the families in the city (right now I have all the lots occupied), and although I play with one main family, I usually pop into the others from time to time (especially at night when the main family is sleeping) to check how they’re doing, see if they’re completing their tasks, if they’re okay, etc., but since the update, even late at night I find many of them anywhere in the city, especially sleeping on benches in the street (they don’t go back home to sleep) and they don’t take care of themselves or interact like they used to, you have to watch them much more closely and it becomes exhausting (thank goodness I use a couple of mods that help me a lot to control any sim), but you can barely queue up actions for them and leave them with the list, because they’re almost guaranteed to interrupt each other and none of them will end up doing them. This new autonomy doesn’t really appeal to me. Plus with the “collision/wandering” system they constantly interrupt any ordered or voluntary action that comes up. A typical case: a sim is waiting in a hallway for a long time to talk to another one who’s somewhere far away doing something, until that second sim finishes or interrupts what they were doing and heads to meet them, when they arrive at the place, it’s like they bump into each other or invade the other’s space and automatically cancel the interaction and go wandering off on their own…so much time for nothing and all the actions canceled (I hate this, and I don’t see them fixing it).
