Since I’ve been waiting for the official release, I haven’t had a chance to dive deep into the game, and I wanted to ask: in INZOI, without my direct control, can a character progress from a regular soldier to an officer? Or from an ordinary hacker to an advanced hacker?
Or will someone who enjoys exercising automatically level up from exercise level 1 to exercise level 5 on their own?
I remember in The Sims, even if they had careers, they would only stay at the rookie stage of that career, which made me feel like everything was unreal. I hope that every ZOI, without me having to control them, can complete promotion tasks on their own during their life stages, gradually grow and advance.
At least my husband, my wife, my siblings — they should be able to independently perform these leveling behaviors without my manipulation. Otherwise they just look fake, not like they’re actually alive. I would feel like my family members are useless, unable to even level up.
…So  , can INZOI NPCs advance on their own?
In regards to NPCs: I witnessed a while back (approx. in May or June 2026) that some of my zoi’s colleagues progressed to the next level of their chosen career. In the case I remember, it happened in the Adam Entertainment bureau career.
In regards to household members: Even if you’re not playing them actively, they should be able to climb up the ranks on their own too. Since the general autonomy is programmed to have them fulfill their daily work tasks, their career progression should work automatically. I can’t say for certain that it works though, because due to my rotational gameplay style I tend to play every member of the household, so they’re usually progressing while I’m around
Thanks bro, that should do the trick for achieving automatic promotion!
@mimivision2022 It seems that you are referring only to the rabbit hole careers. If the relatives still live with you and are considered actively played household this normally always works. For the active careers this does not always work as it seem to be a bit random which job task the Zoi performs if he is left alone. If they perform tasks which are not assigned to them that day they might lose job performance. And for the new active careers you have to actively apply for the promotion interview on top of it, so they would not be promoted without you supporting this.
If the family members live in a different household and are not considered actively played houshold still it kind of works for the rabbit hole careers. The Zois get job performance added if their schedule is not messed up for some other reason in the game. So if they really attend then they get performance and then they also get promoted.
This is not really working so well for the active jobs though. Not for the old active jobs and also not for the new active jobs. Here the Zois seem to not really manage to always perform the right job tasks while at work and thus they suffer in performance. Worst case they even get fired. And for the new active careers they seem to not apply for the promotion by themselves.
Only Rabbit Hole gets auto-promoted? That’s a pity. It looks like we’ll have to wait for the future. Maybe auto-promotion careers will be added to the “Autonomy” options window.
@mimivision2022 that would be really great if they would add it. I am really struggling with my rotationally played families in active careers getting even fired because as it seems the game is currently not able to properly manage their job tasks autonomously.
