I’d like to share my experience playing inZOI on macOS, specifically on a MacBook Pro with M3 Pro chip (11-core CPU / 14-core GPU) and 18 GB of unified RAM.
Despite exceeding the recommended system requirements, the game defaults to medium graphics settings, and performance is inconsistent. What’s more frustrating is that users with M4-based Macs are getting better results on high settings, even though my machine is technically more powerful.
I’ve tried everything: manually adjusting the graphics, enabling MetalFX, closing background apps… but nothing improves the situation. It seems like inZOI is not properly optimized for the M3 Pro chip, or that there’s a misconfigured hardware profile limiting performance unnecessarily.
I’m curious to know if other M3 Pro users are experiencing the same issue. Have you found any workarounds? Is Krafton planning to release a patch to fix this?
This is a high-end device, and it should be able to run inZOI smoothly with top-tier visuals. I hope we can gather more feedback and get the developers’ attention.
Thanks for reading, and I appreciate any insights!
Based on how much my gaming PC turns into an airplane, I don’t even want to phantom running inZOI on my Mac natively, I use GeForce NOW for that.
It’s a fanless M2 in my case, but I presume performance will improve when macOS Tahoe releases. It offers updated Metal support which should tremendously increase gaming performance on Mac.
However, in your case, I would be filing an actual bug report. An M3 Pro should be running inZOI with its eyes closed.
Hi got a Mac mini M4 16 RAM. quality is terrible, graphics and performance are bad and I couldn’t find something good in the middle. bought the game on the Mac App Store, played with the settings and nothing works normally. what are the recommended graphic settings for Mac M4 user?
oh I had tried every graphic setting on my m3 16 ram and it does no good, once I enter the game its bearable but in 5 minutes performance goes to Mars haha
