first off congrats on the release of Cahaya I really like the vibe but to me it’s also a bit jarring. Seeing the difference between the main island and the resort. This is to be expected of course, tourism isn’t as good for local economies as one might think. So this is where my ideas come in.
I would like the ability to clean up and improve the Main Island in the long run. Imagine a ZOI that is so wanting to help that they improve the lives of everyone, that they help build a new economy of the main island, and cleans up the streets so no more trash. I know this sounds like promoting gentrification, but I just want everyone to be able to live their best lives.
Also these kind of communities, in my mind, have festivities for the whole village. So seasonal festivities would be awesome. Look at fireworks with the whole village, Harvest feasts, the welcoming of spring, the end of tourist season and so on. Maybe keep it at one festival per season but something like that.
Finally I really mis a laundromat, as all prebuild houses seem to not have a washing machine.
