Uninhabited island

Hi all!

I really like playing on a desert island, living the life of Robinson. Farming, mining stones, fishing and swimming, and then selling all this at the market. With the money I got (meow), I wanted to build a house on the island, but it’s not a residential island, but a public lot, the money for its construction is not written off from the family, in addition, there is a limit on building a second floor. Please, please, please, maybe it was possible to change the lot type to residential? Or, as an alternative, make another island so that you can visit the public island and live on your own.

I fully support it! Make the island area residential, please. And allow us to build houses of 2-3 or more floors on the island. This is very important for the Robinson challenge.

I fully support you! The ability to change/choose the type of lot is something that is sorely lacking in the game!
And the construction restrictions also make it very sad!

I’d support this idea too! I’d love to be able to live on this island!

And you don’t even have to touch this island—you could just add one or two more islands to the Cahaya map with the update. On the opposite side of the “sea,” for example. There’s enough water space there to fit not just one island, but two or three. And make the space on them “residential” so you could build a house there :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: :+1:

I love this idea!!

I also really like living on the deserted island but I find the ghost’s screaming off putting - it’s a cool little feature but it definitely lessens the peace of living on a deserted island. So I’d prefer another island that we can live on.

I think part of the appeal of the ‘deserted island’ living is, like you said…

I think, in order to maintain this feeling, the island should not be an expensive private island bought through the usual means. You should only be able to own and build on the land if you go to the island in-game.

So it really is a ghost? I knew it!

I’ve heard those screams from time to time too, and I suspected there might be a ghost there. But since I don’t know how to interact with them (I read about a bell, but I’ve never actually used any of that stuff), I couldn’t verify it. And the last few times I went there—for some reason there were no screams. So I decided it could have been sounds from boats passing by, and I just made up the whole ghost thing.

Can you actually see a ghost there?

Yeah. if you wear the pumpkin head with the glowing eyes, you can see him. The last time I was on the island it was fairly constant but they might have changed it since then.

Thank you so much! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I downloaded a beautiful house for my island, but unfortunately my zoi will have to sleep on a cardboard box next to a comfortable bed. :sob:
And it’s all because the “sleep” action is only available in your own home.

I love the Crusoe lifestyle as well! Rather than making it a residential lot, I’d rather they just changed the permissions for parks (the island counts as a park) so that you can build houses with multiple floors and also use beds etc. I’m pretty sure it used to be possible to do both, so I’m not sure why that was changed. Ideally there would be an option to start the game as ‘homeless’ on a public lot, and also to reduce or eliminate the starting funds.

BTW you can also see and speak to the ghost using the Nyx totem, which you can find in build mode.
