While my favourite crate got the option with one of the latest hot fixes, I already found three objects from the ‘Island Getaway’ DLC that still have this option greyed out.
I think it’s an easy fix and there is just one box to be ticked to add the recolor option (?)
I have noticed this with the harvestable plant pots, most are recolourable but a few cannot be changed, which I assumed to be an oversight rather than intentional as it seems random.
I also think it a bit odd that the electric guitar is pink and cannot be changed. If anything the default colour should be black as that is most common in my experience!
Good catch. I wished we could recolor all those. I have also found some objects in the section where you find shop-related stuff that cannot be recolored. I made a post in whislist about it here. Although they are in different categories, maybe some dev can merge them?
Fingers crossed we can get some recoloring options for next hotfix!
It would be awesome if we could also recolor the workbenches and easels.

After we moved to Cayaha, we have a Bar there with a stage too.
We also change the stage background for every concert.
The only thing we can’t change is the color of the guitars 
Music is a big part of my life but I don’t have any music of my own or videos, I played the guitar back in my days and went to countless concerts and festivals, so that’s where my inspiration comes from ^^’
