Currently, families with newborns and babies can’t move to a new home, not even with the “create a temporary family” feature.
It seems illogical to me; a family should be able to do that!
This is causing me problems for two reasons: I have a family with an old save that’s blocked, but I can’t move it because of the children.
I have another family with four children (two born by Zoi’s “decision,” not mine 
), whose house is now too small and I can’t expand it because they live in City Next.
I’d like to move them.

I’ll support you! This problem has been annoying me since the beginning of the game.
As well as the inability to change the name of children named without my participation.

Yes, that too! I play different families in turns and have found myself with babies born against my will and with names that had nothing to do with their surnames, like Mengxin Colombo :).

I really wish they would change this. It is a major issue. I have a family that was just a couple when I started playing them, so I moved them into a 2 bedroom apartment. They had a child, so that was fine, then they had another so I thought, will need to move them to a bigger place, wouldn’t let me as 2nd child was a baby, by the time that baby had become a child they had had another baby, then another, then another, then another. The wife seems to be pregnant constantly and none of these pregnancies have been instigated by me. Now we have a family with a teenager, an adolescent, a child, a toddler, a new-born and the mum is pregnant again. At least there will be no more cus once this baby is born the family size will be 8. It’s going to be ages before I can move them though, at the moment I do not even have the physical space to put enough beds for them all to sleep in the apartment. Very unrealistic game play. Another issue is that babies seem to be born during the periods I am not playing or playing another household, this results in the most bizarre names, so I have a western family with Dave Smith, Jane Sims, Peter Smith and then the baby is called Xihun Smith (must be Korean) and there is no way of changing that name, so very annoying and again makes gameplay very unrealistic.

Pretty common that people move with their babies because they need more room.

I understand you completely! I have children with names like De Ming, Xianwei, Chiaki.
In the City Nest apartment I had to do backflips to fit the necessary beds, my Zoi kept getting pregnant while I wasn’t playing her.
Solving these problems would be part of the fundamentals for me.
Maybe writing it here doesn’t help and we should all write on Discord instead.

I have lost count of the babies and children born when I wasn’t playing the family. They have names that I can’t spell, pronounce or remember. 
For these children, I was hoping to have t-shirts in the default outfits that have numbers on them (there is only one with a number 8). Since they aren’t available, currently I have the children wear color-coded outfits and identify them as red, green, blue and so on. (Deep sigh)

I went on the discord once and it was constant chat, not my style, hopefully someone will post on Discord something to boost the Forum moral, like why have forum if you only listen to Discord?
