I know that you guys only have a month to work on Halloween stuff for the update and you stated we probably won’t get as much as normal and since that’s the case I figured I’d throw some suggestions out there for next year when you’ll have more time to fledge it out more.
First the big one trick or treating. I think it should start around 7pm and end at midnight. Everyone of all ages can dress up and of course go get candy. So for kids they should obviously be accompanied by adults or at least teenagers. Candy can either be left out for other zois to grab or they can ring the doorbell for someone to give them some ( if your zoi is the one giving the candy, they can have the option to give one piece or up to 5 per zoi if they have a lot of candy in stock)
Halloween parties definitely should be an added event with all sort of fun spooky games and foods/ drinks
I think it would be funny if zois were able to scare someone
For decor: skeletons, mummies, grim reapers, cobwebs, spiders, skulls, bats, various candles all your typical Halloween decorations. Something I think that would be fun is to also have motion activated decorations ( the ones that you usually see in Halloween stores) . I’d like to be able to have drinks that have the cauldron effect!

I don’t think it’s enough time for gameplay features like trick-or-treat, but they are planning something, according to the AMA Q&A

I love Halloween and it would be amazing to have all these things in the game! Beyond all the death and ghost improvements, and with the modification of the city’s appearance, it could create a beautiful gameplay opportunity 
I would add to your wishlist other decorative effects with a Halloween theme like the ones for smoke/fog that we already have

Unfortunately, we don’t have the fog effect anymore

(I really hope they just modified it for Halloween and we’ll get it back with the October Update.
It was hard to pick it up again once we placed it.)

As you can see above, according to the new sneak peaks about halloween, we are indeed going to be able to grow pumpkins! I think it’s reasonable to think this might come with some pumpkin recipies, or some halloween themed pastries or cakes for the cafes. Some pumpkin spice latter wouldn’t hurt, either!

Optional Halloween Event Ideas:

Zombie Outbreak: Zombies have broken out in the city! Some NPCs have become Zombies, survive for a few days with no power or water, scavage for food, check neighbours for survivours.

Haunted House: Stay the night in a haunted house to win a large Inheritance. Caution, nights seem strangely longer here, Zoi’s who are too spooked will run off the lot and forfeit the prize. Beware of the Ghosts! Possible optional plot-twist of playing Ghosts with the aim of scaring away NPC Zoi’s.

Trick or Treat: Standard, take the family around the neighbourhood, contest between siblings to see who can get the highest amount of candy. Teens can prank neighbours houses or tell ghost stories around bonfires.

Witching Hour: Take part in a dark ritual to summon the Bad Karma Psycat, who can torment Zoi’s enemies or grant wishes…at a cost.

Among Us: Host a costume party and invite Zoi’s. Invited Zoi’s won’t have names when you hover over them. Discover who is an actual Zoi and who is a trickster monter in costume before the end of the night to win a prize.

Yesssss I really do hope next they’re able to make a functional trick or treating event. I saw someone was already making a mod for it but the less mods for me the better lol. A haunted house would be pretty fun And witching hour. Now zombies would be crazy, I’d definitely be curious to see them tackles it but I think they’d make it more of a dlc rather than then just popping up for a few days. Among us would be interesting too but I think we’d be more likely to get the witching hour, haunted house and trick or treating

We got pumpkin pies! And they look delicious I got hungry just by looking at them 
p.s. also we now can change the color of fog and other effects! We’ve truly officialy started spooky season!
