Browsing forum threads, one wonders what else could be added or improved to make the game even better. The issue of luxury-related DLC looms large among the discussions. There are many interesting proposals to implement. Some are easier than others. Not all of them can be implemented immediately. It takes time. There are so many that they need to be sorted. Modeling, casinos, new cars, clothing, plastic surgery, sports (tennis). Other mechanics. Hence the idea to build something based on the current mechanics, a kind of starting point for a luxury DLC. We already have CAS and a build mode, so is there anything that could be added to it?
So, ladies and gentlemen… HERE…
Fashion & Fame DLC: Monaco – Luxury and Fashion
Why Monaco?
Monaco is a microstate that has been synonymous with luxury for decades. Festivals, casinos, a marina, and the F1 Grand Prix make every event a status parade. Here, fashion doesn’t end on the runway—it’s a way of life that shows who truly belongs to the elite.
Locations and Vibe
Monte Carlo Casino – the opening gala, where style determines whether a person enters the social scene.
Marina – private yacht parties, celebrity events.
Promenade and boutiques – the most exclusive shops and fashion houses.
Grand Prix – not the race itself, but the accompanying events and shows.
Why does fashion matter in InZoi?
InZoi is a game where everyday life, social relationships, and career development play a key role. Fashion creates an image, builds prestige, and opens doors to a career. In the real world, a runway in Paris or a contract with a fashion house can transform an unknown person into an international star.
The Fashion DLC not only fills a missing element in the profession palette but also builds on the foundations already in place in the game. CAS and the clothing system have been the foundation of customization from the outset – here, they can be given new meaning. Styling ceases to be just a game and becomes a real factor influencing reputation, earnings, and social standing. Similarly, the addition of new clothes and accessories in subsequent updates provides a ready-made foundation – the DLC will contextualize them within the game world. This allows Fashion & Fame to seamlessly integrate into the gameplay and open up new narrative possibilities.
New careers
Career 1: Model
Being a model is a classic path that leads from casting calls to red carpets. It’s a career where appearance, style, and charisma play a key role. Players can start with small fashion shows in small boutiques and then work their way up to the big runways in Paris.
What does a model do:
• Participating in casting calls for fashion shows and advertising campaigns,
• Walking the runways and posing in photo shoots,
• Promoting brands through social media,
• Building a reputation and gaining fans,
• Signing contracts with fashion houses.
Using game mechanics:
• CAS as a tool for preparing looks and photo shoots.
To be implemented:
• Reputation and feedback system for evaluating performances and styling,
• In-game social media integration – posts, comments, followers.
Career 2: Fashion Designer
Designers work behind the scenes, but they’re the ones who create trends and build brands. Players can start as assistants in a fashion house, learn the craft, and eventually open their own company. This is a creative career, but also a business one.
What a designer does:
• creating new clothing and accessories collections,
• organizing fashion shows – from location to choreography,
• collaborating with models, stylists, and influencers,
• running boutiques and selling collections,
• competing with other brands for prestige and contracts.
Using game mechanics:
• CAS as a tool for creating outfit prototypes,
To be implemented:
• Business management system (similar to service establishments),
• Reputation integration – reviews in fashion media influence careers.
Career-Related Locations
Fashion House
The central hub for designers and models’ careers. This is where castings, fittings, and show preparations take place. You can expand your own fashion house into an empire by hiring staff and building your brand.
Fashion Shows
Special events in unique locations – elegant theaters, exhibition halls, or trendy streets in the city’s artistic districts. Shows are an arena for competition and a way to build a reputation.
Photography Studios
A location for photo shoots for advertising campaigns, posters, and magazine covers. Players can commission photos here, but also participate in shoots as models or stylists.
Red Carpets and Galas
Events that connect fashion with the world of celebrities. Character styling has a direct impact on how they are perceived in the media and whether they receive invitations to subsequent events.
Boutiques
Places to sell your own collections or purchase luxury clothing. Boutiques are part of a designer’s career, but also a space for players who want to emphasize their character’s status.
Plastic Surgery as Part of the DLC
Why is it Important?
In fashion, it’s not just about styling, but also how a character presents themselves. In the real world (Paris, Monaco, Cannes), aesthetic medicine offices and plastic surgery clinics are an integral part of the industry. This fits into the luxurious lifestyle and adds an additional layer of gameplay – players can not only dress characters but also consciously change their appearance in the game world, instead of just “clicking CAS and improving.”
How does it work in the game?
The Beauty Clinic is a new type of location (it can be run by the player or visited as a client). The Beauty Clinic serves as a gameplay tool: instead of “editing a Sim,” the character schedules a treatment and then changes their appearance at the clinic.
The player chooses:
- aesthetic treatments (Botox, fillers, skin care – minor adjustments),
- plastic surgery (nose jobs, facelifts, breast augmentation, body contouring),
- rejuvenation (age changes in the Beauty Clinic are story-driven).
New Career: Plastic Surgeon
This is a path for players who want to enter luxury from the “behind the scenes.”
What does a plastic surgeon do:
- Run a clinic and see clients,
- Perform procedures to alter the character’s appearance,
- Provide aesthetic and style advice,
- Build a reputation: the better the procedures, the more clients from the fashion and showbiz industries,
- Can specialize in minor adjustments or spectacular makeovers.
Mechanics:
-
CAS as a treatment tool – appearance editing is tied to the profession, not just a menu option,
-
Reputation-based career system – successful procedures = prestige, unsuccessful procedures = scandal,
-
Fashion integration – designers, models, and celebrities use the doctor’s services.
Proposed Fame and Reputation System
Fame = how well-known a character is. This includes the number of fans, followers, and media presence. Fame opens doors – invitations to events, contracts, prestigious assignments.
Reputation = how a character is evaluated. It’s not just popularity, but also a perception of quality. You can be famous but have a reputation as a “controversial figure,” or conversely – respected in the industry but lacking global recognition.
Public appearances: fashion shows, red carpets, concerts, galas.
Social media: posts, photos, vlogs.
Relationships with other famous characters: seeing each other increases your recognition.
Gossip and Scandals: you can “grow” through scandalous behavior.
Effect: The greater your fame, the more often NPCs react to the character, approaching them, asking for photos, and even copying their style.
Quality of Work: Successful Fashion Shows, Good Collection Reviews, Perfect Plastic Surgery.
Styling: Outfit Reviews on Red Carpets and Events.
Behavior: Politeness vs. Arrogance at Parties and in Interactions.
Moral Choices: For example, running a fashion house with integrity vs. copying the trends of others.
Effect: Reputation acts as a “filter.” High Reputation = Prestigious Contracts. Low Reputation = Only Tabloids and Cheap Scandals.
Fame (5 Levels):
Local – Recognizable in the area, small fan base.
Well-Known – Receives Invitations to Smaller Events.
Popular – Regularly Covered in the Media.
Star – Walking on the Red Carpet Guarantees Publicity.
Icon – Known the World, Every Event is Open to Them.
Reputation (5 types):
Style Paragon – associated with class and professionalism.
Perfectionist – high quality but a cool detachment.
Controversial – scandals, but also a lot of attention.
Charming Rebel – unconventional but well-liked.
Negative – poorly received, difficult to secure contracts.
Events and locations have a fame threshold: for example, entry to the VIP casino in Monaco requires level 3.
Contracts and careers are tied to reputation: top fashion houses won’t hire a model with a negative image.
Fashion and gossip media comment on the character – reviews, photos, and gossip appear in newspapers and social media.
CAS gameplay takes on a new meaning: the choice of outfit has a real impact on event ratings and reputation.
I focused only on these topics (fashion, fame and surgery) because they are, in a sense, inextricably linked. I’m not implementing all the ideas from the luxury DLC here, but only one fragment, which serves as a foundation for further work.
