The small teddy bear is probably classified as a gift. Zois will throw out gifts if the âClean Upâ action pops up in their queue,
Only way to avoid the problem that I know of is to put the gift in a Zoiâs bag, or display it a locked room that only one Zoi in your family has access to. Neither option is a particularly great solution.
Unfortunately, as it stands there seems to be quite a lot of items that zois autonomously throw out, including a lot of collectables, which will even be disposed of when displayed on shelves. It is quite annoying, especially when some of them are hard-won metals that you plan to use for making tools!
This is really driving me nuts that I feel I have to constantly watch these Zois
I know itâs not everyoneâs cup of tea, but I so wish theyâd allow us to turn autonomy completely off if we decide to take control over their actions.
Problem is, weâd need to turn off npc autonomy, as in my experience (largely single zoi households) it was visitors that threw away all my stuff. No way to cancel the action or stop them queuing it again!
I always keep autonomy off for this reason because Zois will even throw away items bought from stores (like those little medicine pills and boxes) during the autonomous âClean Upâ interaction, but that doesnât stop NPCs from doing it regardless.
I would go the other way and suggest the devs program an âallowedâ list which is much more limited. Then they donât have to remember to update a âblockedâ list as they add new objects to the game. Basically, the default becomes âdonât throw outâ.
Since the idea seems to be cleaning up the home, how about limiting it to only items which are âspoiledâ? E.g. food, drinks, fish left out, etc. Can anyone think of any other class of item that should autonomously cleaned up?
