Ever since the update Zois can take stuff out of their bag autonomously WHY???

All they do is throw everything away now if there is seeds in their bag they toss them out when they are bored, if you put a cake in there for their birthday for later they toss it away, if there is the Xmas cookie boxes that you can ONLY buy once a year now at a festival: you can’t leave them while you get better at baking cause they toss them away …

Why is there no safe place to put items now that they won’t toss out?

They never used to be able to take anything out of their bag unless you tell them to. Now since the update, all of the sudden they are throwing away everything in their bags.

What is going on ??? That HAS to be a bug SERIOUS BUG that needs fixing NOW!!

Not only are they tossing away everything from their bags, they are now tossing out any and every food left out to eat : cooking or baking.

The parent cooks up a group meal for the family with children that cannot cook, to eat for when they get home from school. The first kid comes home does their homework and eats a plate of food.

When they are done they not only clean up their plate; but all of the family’s fresh food so no-one in the house gets dinner.

Why are Zois suddenly tossing everything away : you can’t even portion and serve the food without the first person that eats clearing the entire table of fresh food and dumping it in the garbage.

Why is every Zoi in the world suddenly wasting fresh food and trying to murder their siblings and parents from starvation… WHAT IS this new bug & WHY was it added???

When will Zois finally never be able to toss ANYTHING away; unless you tell them to… especially food left out on a separate table not even the dining table that was made to feed the ENTIRE family not just one rude piggy that wants to scarf their meal down and evilly snicker tossing away their entire family’s food that’s EVIL behaviour.

Especially when cooking skills don’t matter : you can be a level 10 MASTER Chef and cook dozens of BAD or mediocre meals that go straight in the trash cause who wants to serve that as a master chef right!!

All those attempts to make dinner that is edible as a HIGH level chef that still can’t make a good or better meal and takes over 6 or more hours to make a family meal… and then one zoi comes along and eats ONE plate and tosses everyone else’s food away. HOW is this okay?

What is this new obsession with tossing away every piece of food in the house that is not being shovelled into a mouth, or seed and supplies you are saving for later in a bag that used to be a safe place to leave it now suddenly they can toss everything out of their bag for no rhyme or reason.

WHAT’S GOING ON ?? A Zoi bag should be a safe place to save things that they can NEVER EVER take out unless you tell them to.

I don’t want to turn off autonomous behavior because someone gave every zoi in the world an obsession with throwing away EVERYTHING left out to feed the family and trying to kill off their family of starvation or throwing away everything in their bag so they have to waste all of their money to buy it all over again. Just to toss it out again the second it’s there in the bag. They even toss out the food you have them make to go out mining for the day and eat later.

THIS BUG NEEDS FIXING STAT!!!

I agree! This is a serious error and it should be fixed as a priority.

Absolutely.

I used to buy and carry a laptop in my pack as a child, one that I would indeed use all my life.
But starting in 0.8.0 they can take it out in public, unprompted, then leave it there on a table in the park when leaving, or another zoi steals it because my zoi gets the urge to go to the bathroom or something.

Extremely annoying.

I created a new save and gave Zoi management of a clothing store. In the store settings, I specified that Zoi should handle cleaning. What do you think he decided to do first at work in the store? He started throwing items from the inventory into the trash. I didn’t immediately realize what he was carrying to the dumpster. And I caught him when he was throwing away a pack of seeds! He managed to throw out a toy I found on the beach and a couple of regular stones I had collected. So storing things in the inventory doesn’t work for me. I honestly don’t know where to store the items I’ve found and bought. He also throws everything from the house shelves into the trash, and now he’s even gotten to his own inventory.

I already wrote about this in another discussion thread. Right after the latest update 0.9.0 was released.

It’s MUCH MUCH worse than simply tossing out toys now you can’t even leave any food or baking on the table to feed your hungry family and can’t store things for later in the backpack they used to NEVER be able to take things out that all seems to have started when they thought that a 2 - Handed holding was necessary ever since then they don’t open and take out food right they hold the vegetables from the potted plants in both hands and now toss out everything from seeds in inventory you are waiting to plant in an empty plot in garden after the others grow… tossing away the produce perfect or not as well as tossing away gem fruit and gems… any and all food that could feed you if you are starving… HOMEWORK now too seems to disappear. It is ridiculous you can’t even play with autonomous actions anymore cause their go-to autonomous reaction is to toss out perfectly good food or supplies instead of watching tv or reading a book or playing an instrument or playing with toys the kids are even worse cause they get sent the free pumpkin seeds as a child yet don’t have the ability to plant anything until they are a teenager by that time they toss out the seeds all the time I don’t understand why this is happening all of the sudden since the June update it’s become INTOLERABLE.

oof… That sounds awful. Especially if you have items like laptops or rare crops in the inventory. I haven’t encountered it myself yet (clearing out the inventory), but I’ll keep my eyes open and leave a post if I encounter it. This needs to be fixed

Anything except (unspoiled) food should never ever be taken out of a Zoi’s inventory.
Food they should take to eat if they are hungry and carry it, except multi-portion meals (You want to keep those for supper, or keep a whole cake for the birthday celebration later).

But I cannot think why I would want a zoi to autonomously take out seeds, toys, rare collectibles, laptops, crafting materials or even ingredients (except when initiating cooking, of course, and only until and if we get a freezer to store our ingredients - that too is long overdue).

I can’t use “my own laptop in my pack” trick anymore.
But based on what you guys are saying, it’s far worse than that.

Yes, please fix it… ASAP the better.

I’m currently having an issue of Zois dying from food poison due to eating spoiled food taken out of their bag. Zois are now taking out spoiled foods from their bag to eat when they’re hungry instead of going to the fridge. Because of this I’ve been regularly checking the bags of Zois of my playable households and throwing out spoiled foods. This wasn’t the case before so not sure what happened.

I don’t want them even taking out the un-spoiled food since they never made it so they won’t auto-eat food that is green with flies they still try to eat it so you always need the food poisoning pills from the pocket market. So when they take out the spoiled food they will just try to eat it and make themselves sick.. yet they are just tossing everything out so that will be in the trash too so that’s good. They don’t eat family sized meals in my house if they are hungry they take out a family sized meal and either toss it in their back pack to late toss out or set it down and keep grabbing meals after meals out of the fridge cause they are hungry and can’t and won’t take a serving on their own from the multi meals so they just clear the whole table so all that food ends up in the trash since the update you can’t keep a multi meal plate anywhere even on a counter they will eat the serving you tell them to eat and toss away the rest of it now everything is going in the garbage.

Food, Leftovers, Meals, Family sized meals, seeds, claw machine won toys, scuba diving collectibles, the fish that you can no longer put in fish tanks cause that’s been broker for 2 updates now and my pointing that out in a different post still hasn’t been responded to by any staff no-one seems to care that fish can no longer be put into fish tanks so you can no longer build a community aquarium in your town and go and catch a whale for display so it ends up sitting in your pack so the zoi tosses it out if you don’t release it or cook it. They toss out rocks, ore, raw gemstones, polished gemstones, seeds, produce, tablets, laptops, watering cans, pitch forks I think since the watering can and pitchfork and even pickaxe that they send to children when they grow up even though for some odd reason children aren’t allowed to work with grandma in the garden planting tomatoes that’s so odd: but i looked in their packs and the pitchfork was gone from one child another child was missing the seeds and the watering can and the tablet they picked up from the table to use. To those must have also been tossed out though I cannot prove that. Any and Everything you put in your pack gets tossed out. If you don’t pay attention to your Zoi, collecting to sell at the re-sale store later at the end of the week on sundays or something to make money you can’t do that anymore cause they toss out all your hard collecting work. That’s how bad this serious bug is.

Just had this too happen for the first time. My Zoi was trying to throw out my pumpkin seeds. Absolutely no reason to. What the heck?

Right!! They really need to give the overlords the backpacks back and not let the Zoi touch it without our permission
