It had already been mentioned somewhere, but I can’t find it.
Tonight I enter one of my families and this child had hunger and sleep needs in red and energy in yellow (in the photo hunger is full because I already used a donut).
I try to send him to sleep by clicking on the bed but it says “it’s impossible to move here”.
I discover that the child cannot leave the bathroom because of the pile of trash (but how much trash do toddlers pull out of the bins? put child-proof lids on them ) located outside the door. Besides, it doesn’t even seem to be in an obstructive position. Once the pile is removed, he can finally leave.
The children should call out for help. We need this autonomous action in the game for such situations.
In fact we need a “Call for Help” autonomous action for all Zois who may get stuck (perhaps in future game versions, they also use the smartphone to text for help).
And it logically follows that other nearby Zois (one or more) who hear the cry for help, try to mitigate the situation by helping the Zoi who is in need. This would count towards good karma.
The problem is that this also happens with currently unplayed Zois and NPCs and the emergency rescue needs to be initiated by the player, so unplayed Zois/Npcs die because of these issues.
It wasn’t necessary, it was enough to remove the pile of trash and the child came out. The problem, however, is that this happened while I wasn’t playing that family. It was just by chance that I noticed it.
I play in rotation and it happens that there are game days where I don’t even look at one family.
Then all of a sudden your zoi is like -28 in depression and you wonder who died and wtf is this…
Check the cellphone and see :
Samuriko Mikomi : « The owner of this Phone has passed away. »
Akira Mikomi : « The owner of this Phone has passed away. »
Etsuko Mikomi : « The owner of this Phone has passed away. »
Derika Mikomi : « The owner of this Phone has passed away. »
With another 2 member of the family in critical needs, all because of a baby that left a piece of paper trash or a diaper in front of the hallway, trapping them all in the living room.
And since the auto-save saves in 15min intervals which gets overwritten each time you custom looks of a zoi ?
Sometimes it’s non-recoverable.
I know. It happened to me like 3 times.
Irl we have to step over much larger things like a dead tree that fell over in the yard or a large toy that one of the toddlers is playing with on the floor, maybe make zois more agile
I’m reposting this because last night I realized that the father of the child from the initial post died of starvation .
I don’t know what happened, but I imagine another diaper or something like that.
This problem needs to be fixed, for those who play in rotation it’s a real disaster. It’s not possible that for every day of gameplay I have to check all the families. A Sim with autonomy activated should NOT die of starvation.
Now the choice is whether to lose 15 hours of gameplay (game time, according to the family notification he died 15 hours ago) or accept the cruel fate.
I randomly started playing one of the pre-made families in my last session and saw that the toddler’s needs were low. When I checked why, I realised he was trapped behind a magazine that he’d pulled onto the floor, and the parents couldn’t reach him It may not be a common occurrence but it really needs to be fixed. Shouldn’t Zois just be able to move straight over/through these objects?
