Every time one of my Zois steals something, they always end up getting caught.
I’m wondering, is committing crimes in the game always gaurenteed jailtime or can you actually escape and not get caught? Has anyone successfully avoided the cops?
Edit: I clarify, I’m asking if it’s possible to avoid getting arrested by running from police, not if escaping jail is possible.
Apparently, you can dig your way out through the wall, but I haven’t tried it yet. No one has been arrested since I read this.
I did dig my way out once. But my zoi thought it would be a great idea to go back into the prison because she wanted to look at the mirror or something, so she immediately returned 
But I never escaped the police, and it was a chase all over the town… via subway.
I did have my non-rabbit-hole job pop out, so I teleported my zoi to work, and then she just returned to prison again. She might have just liked it there.
I don’t know about escaping the police, but once I just made sure that no police was in sight before stealing, then after stealing my zoi run for their life away from the crime scene (it was one of those bags left alone in the street) and he never got caught.
If my zoi comes across another bag and tries to steal it and he’s chased, I’ll let you know if I manage to leave the police behind!
Not me purposefully running someone over just to try this 
But it looks like a dead end to me. I just spent the past 3 minutes trying to dig my way through the wall, no success.
my zoi was arrested for spraying graffiti on the wall of the police station in Cahaya, you can give that a try.
I found the original post. They said it took ages, but eventually worked.
I got my zoi out by moving house. When the household moved to a different plot, he popped up next to them. It was unexpected as I was trying to get rid of someone who wouldn’t leave the house.
That did the trick, thank you!! After scratching the crack for what felt like 50 times, a hole suddenly appeared.
@LittleBrownBiscuit @bernie I was asking if it’s possible to escape the police (like run away from them after a crime was committed and not get arrested), not if it’s possible to escape jail 
I’ll have to try again then! I always try to have my Zoi steal when no police are around, but then they come zooming in from somewhere else and chase my Zoi. I can’t avoid them lol
Maybe my Zoi isn’t running away quickly enough or not escaping to the right places. Or maybe stealing from stores and parking meters is guaranteed arrest because of the locations of the crimes or the type of crime. I haven’t tried just stealing bags.
My zoi took the motorbyke to escape, do maybe that help? Everything happened so fast that I didn’t care to see whether he was being followed or not haha. Maybe hoping in the motorbyke or a car to get away faster will help you.
I think it depends a lot on where you steal, because I have stolen from establishments and the police have never come looking for me. Moreover, I hit someone but didn’t kill them, and I have crashed into cars and the police have never come looking for me even once.
