This event has been fine for me in Dowon in the summer. I’m playing a new save though. At least one child has shown up every night, usually two, although I only have one candy basket.
I FINALLY got my in-game Halloween event. I’m not exactly sure how.
I changed two things:
-It’s possible that removing the walls and gates around the house allowed the children to enter.
-I followed LazyTaco’s advice, forcing all my Sims to be present at 5 PM.
There’s a good chance it was the second solution, because the event ONLY triggered for my teenage Zoi, who is normally at school at that time.
I find the triggering conditions and the event’s implementation very basic…

The fact that the event only triggers on ONE Zoi, even though the whole family is present and could participate, is disappointing.
-The fact that THE Zoi in question must be present at a specific time. it feels like they just went for the simplest option…
