For those who love going from a nobody to becoming famous (rags to riches type gameplay)
A system for increasing your zoi’s fame level, certain interactions that contribute to virality and fame, paparazzi following certain zois, symbols to indicated the level of fame of other zois in the world. The ability to gain fame in any career by reaching the top of the field then doing certain actions to bring fame such as:
Writing books (becoming a best selling author who knows a lot about a certain topic)
Recording/releasing music
Becoming a social media influencer (posting pics or videos)
Selling online courses in your field of expertise
Going on TV
Winning awards
Touring
Busking
Being a podcaster
Hosting events/parties and inviting celebrities (that may or may not show up based on your personal relationship/fame level)
Gloating about finances to other zoi’s (flashing cash)
Having celebrities frequent your business (for example if you own a nightclub or restaurant, you could pay them to show up there and increase fame for yourself and your business by posting pics with them.)
These are just some ideas I think would be fun. I wouldn’t mind a dedicated DLC for this that goes super in depth into this type of gameplay.
OMG REAL This would be amazing, I’d like to be able to be an actress, singer, influencer and have it be interactive and playable too, not just rabbit holes
Also having stalkers, crazy fans, your family wanting to take money from you now that you’re famous, maybe they are envious or maybe they are supportive!
I was talking on the discord about it and someone mentioned a superstar fame DLC for high profile Zois, could be cool if we had one including more luxury build items, clothing, helicopters etc just an idea
I love this idea! And I love that you suggest options other than just being an idol. I’d love to have a Zoi that’s a famous writer or maybe a celebrity chef with their own restaurant and TV show.
can we add active careers like modelling and acting to this with their own skills. For Modelling, we can have runways for the models like Sims Superstar. We can take advantage of the pose system and the zoi can lose fame points if they do horribly on the catwalk and gain fame points if they do well and this is tied in with their modelling skill level. You also need to be a higher level model (5 and up) to be able to walk the catwalk. You can also gain the skill by interacting with other celebrities, studying, taking pictures (photoshoots), booking commercials and promoting products.
Acting career will include auditions for roles in movies, commercials, drama, reality tv shows. Actors can study acting with one or more zois at a time to improve their skills in and out of work and can get nominated for awards
The kpop career can also become more fleshed out to include creating groups who busk in parks and perform for award shows. The recognition can be used to decide if the kpop idol/group win awards (if they are buzz worthy and people are talking about them positively they are more likely to win awards)
If they do please please please do not make it as annoying and useless as in the sims where everything comes to a halt while they fawn round the celebrity .
I second this idea too, the fame packs always worked well in Sims and were popular. And there are so many possible applications in InZoi, as others have suggested! Fame and actual performances are the natural progression for the already existing K-Pop career, which currently only consists of training without ever getting anywhere. I always particularly enjoyed the catwalk model and acting careers, though the various types of performances introduced in TS3 Showtime was my favourite.

Controversy
Zois should be able to experience controversy by doing scandalous actions such as:
Engaging in violence
Bad behaviour in public (acting like a diva, being unkind)
Being seen in public cheating on a spouse (or the spouse leaving them and leaking the story to the media)
Committing crime
Going to jail
Engaging in fraud.
Other people taking photos of them and leaking rumours (true or not) to gossip sites
This could negatively affect their career, decrease their followers, take away their brand deals (brands could cut them off), lower their sales and income until they earn the publics approval again with good publicity gained by good karma actions:
Donating to charity
Fulfilling the wishes of the ill or people in need.
Paying the press or online blogs to write positive stories about them.
Nothing excites me more than creating a problematic celebrity with the chance to lose their fame and go broke or become one with an unbeatable reputation that the public, loves and adores, gifts and pays handsomely.
Also some more ideas:
Celebs can sue for defamation because of slanderous stories
They can have stalkers and get restraining orders against them
Their fame can fade without upkeep until they become a “has been” (and they can get either depressed or relieved about this depending on their personality)
If they’re a high enough fame level, their kids can be born with at least one fame level
Not everyone approaches for photos, some people might take pics from a distance or across the street/room
Their fame/money could trigger some of their personal friends and families to become jealous and make rude comments
Celebrities of a high enough fame level should get free food and drinks on the house!
