I really like the possibility of layering clothes!!!
But I think this could be better utilized, allowing for a significantly greater variety of combinations.
Considering that some clothing items aren’t worn over underwear, but rather instead of them (such as gym tops, bikinis, swimsuits, trunks, etc.), I think it would make sense for them to be part of the underwear section, allowing other clothes (like beach cover-ups, which are currently part of the swimwear itself) to be layered over them. It would also be great if the two pieces of a bikini could be selected separately (as is already possible with underwear), enabling a much wider range of combinations.
In this regard, it would also be very interesting if clothes layered over swimwear, as well as footwear and some accessories (like sunglasses, caps, and hats), could still be worn with swimwear, but would automatically be removed when entering the sea or pool (similar to how shoes are removed when entering a house where footwear is not allowed). This would make the experience much more realistic and enjoyable, as it’s very strange to see avatars swimming with flip-flops, beach cover-ups, caps, etc.
Besides bikinis, other outfits made up of separate real-life pieces should also be “disassembled” or separated in the game (like the two pieces of a pajama set), enabling a much greater variety of combinations. In this way, the full-body outfits section would, as much as possible, only include dresses, jumpsuits, and other garments that are truly “whole” (covering both upper and lower body simultaneously and cannot be separated).
It would also be very interesting if, instead of having multiple clothing items with exactly the same model (changing only the image/print on the front or the fabric/material), these details could be chosen during the “editing” or in the variables of that clothing item (similar to how furniture textures/materials are customized, or like the image of a painting). If this isn’t possible, at least all the variables for that clothing item could be displayed side by side, to improve aesthetics and the sense of organization.
