  • Details (Providing reproduction steps helps us): When choosing different conversations/interactions between zois, “make small talk“ pops in-between every conversation. It always have negative impact on zois relationship. I have to manually cancel “small talk“ between every interaction (chitchat, romantic, thoughts etc.)

I agree this is a problem as introduced in the most recent update. While not all of the small talk items have resulted in negative effects (in my play), the main problem is that you are taking away player agency, which is usually considered a game design no-no.

The previous arrangement with a single small talk popping up to give you time to pick your next topic was fine since it did not affect the Zoi’s relationship.

I kind of thought the “Small Talk” was like an idle chat. But it have a random negative/positive relationship hit doesn’t make sense.

Agreed,

I use the “Smalltalk mod” to remove the chance of negative/positive hit on smalltalks.
It also limit smalltalk to one extra bubble instead of 3.

It’s a shame that they never gave us 2 settings in the menu.
#1- Amount of small talks between each conversation. [0/1/2/3]
#2- Small talk can affect relationship meter [Yes/No]

It would have been perfect with those settings.

I haven’t loaded the Small Talk Mod into the game, but I’ve thought about it several times. Currently, I press away the small talk bubbles during a conversation when it gets too much for me.

The Small Talk mod is outdated. Was causing issue within the game for me.
