When shouldn't "small talk" be triggered?

I imagine the small talk function is meant to give the player time to choose another interaction with their zoi and the npc before they leave. For that same reason, it should only be used if the player’s zoi has no pending actions in the queue. If there are actions pending, small talk shouldn’t trigger.

I wish there was an option to turn it completely off and the chosen communication would just loop or last longer until we chose the next one.

It doesn’t even stop when there in another action in the queue -.-

100%, it should be a space-filler which is cancelled out by other conversation options.

Before 0.2.0 (June 2025 update), there used to be only ONE small talk bubble in-between subject picked by you or other zois initiating subjects. To be honest this was perfect. Also small talks did not affect the friendship, business or Love bars, it was merely filler.

Then after 0.2.0 they made those small talk bubbles happen 3 times in-between each conversation. Now this is way too long, I even complained on Krafton’s official website (this was before the forums were a thing), they said they noted my discontent and nothing came of it.

So 2-3 weeks later I made the Small Talk mod, which returns things to the way they where pre-0.2.0.

I would absolutely LOVE a line in the “Simulation” options of the menu for “Small talk length” that could be set between 0 and say 4 (I do not think anyone would want more), with a checkbox below checked by default about “Small talk can improve/degrade relationships”. With these 2 options, you could caliber things just the way you like it… as it should be.

Too many things get changed for good whereto we could have had options for them in the menues.
My 2 cents, and I too hope they will fix that.
