This really shouldn’t happen, at least give us a warning or the possibility to save the house before deleting it. Gladly, I did save and was able to load an older save, but not all players are that lucky and loose their houses they’ve built hours and days on.
I think it’s always been like that, at least in my game. I’ve always thought it was a mistake by the developers. If a house interests me, I save different versions as it changes over time, so I can recover it if there’s a change in inhabitants.
I had this happen to me in Dowon, for the 100k lot near Hwang Park. Built a nice house to buy for my zoi down the line. Completed it, saved and backed out to map. Instantly it was replaced with the pre-built, so its definitely all cities. Can’t wait till its fixed woooot!
This is strange. I’m not sure if this is a bug at all. In all my saves, after the house was vacated, the family evicted, the property changed to the default option.
The most logical solution is to Save the property preset in Build mode before evicting the family
This needs to be fixed, it appears that the game was designed to reset property as soon as the household is moved out, but this leaves no world management, we start changing or building a house then we realize the house need a different amount of zois in it, so we move the old family out expecting to move the new family in, but all the work we did has been deleted! I’ve never seen this in any other simulation game and inZOI is still in early access so hopefully the devs make this work for us world creators and pretty much every player.
That’s exactly what happened to me. I had no idea the property would reset when the household moved out, and there was no warning at all. That really isn’t okay—players can’t save the property beforehand if they don’t even know their work is about to be deleted.
