I decorated a prebuilt house’s living room and revamped some of the house’s rooms a few months back but a few days ago when logging in for the first time in a a month or two a lot of the stuff I placed down was gone or replaced by default looking furniture and some of the rooms I resized have also been changed. I’ve reloaded old saves, verified my files and said yes and no to the city building update. I can also not enter building mode.
this happened to me but i replaced the whole house with a new one and it keeps getting reset to the original one after a few zoi minutes making the save unplayable
This happened to me because the game somehow kicked my Zoi family out of their house. When edited houses become vacant, they revert back to the default.
Check to see if the household is actually still living there… because I thought mine were until I checked the map and realized they were converted to permanent NPCs without a home, that I couldn’t move back in, even though my game still loaded into them. If I switched away from them, I couldn’t switch back, and they were not in the “All Families” map tab.
Tip: ALWAYS save any house that you have heavily edited and/or care about as a preset. In build, click the icon that looks like a download button. That’s how you save as preset.
Backing up saves will make NO difference with these types if issues because the issue is injected upon loading the saves.
I really hope this issue gets resolved because it’s caused a lot of heartbreak!
