Is there a solution for the run-down furniture?

One of the stools is run down and the other not, and when I click on it there is no way to get it cleaned/back to normal. They only sat on it maybe once or twice. Do I have to replace it or is there a way to save it (for the environment :seedling: ^^’)

Did you try cleaning the floor near it? Sometimes, furniture can’t be cleaned directly, but cleaning the floor around it will clean it. Cleaning the toilet works the same way. I hope they’ll change that in the future.

If it’s not that, some furniture can’t be refurbished and has to be replaced, like fridges and microwaves, but I don’t know if that applies to chairs like that.

Have you been able to try out my suggestion yet? Did it work?

Still no news from the devs following the issue we raised on that 1-2 months ago.

I dunno what to do more at this point. Just how long are we going to have to complain until they give us a way to replace it without having to delete it from build-mode ? Which is not an option in some build where it took the builder multiple minutes/hours to place all of these cupboards and stuff.

@Samuriko Didn’t they recently mention they’re reworking how furniture decay and refurbishing works based on player feedback? I thought they did in one of Kjun’s messages.

Maybe I missed it… It’s a good thing if I did and good news.

This is a slight annoyance to me, but glad to see they are working on it
Last I heard they where making it go bad slower but we could already do that with the appliance durability setting (which I like to make worse so other electronics/taps/baths,etc keep breaking).
So for me I really need a “refurbish option” for all items that decay. Basically that’s the gist of what I need.
If items cannot be clicked, they need a way to fix them without the build mode.

Looking forward to the fix, but I have not seen the news for myself, I’m gonna have to trust you on that one.

@Samuriko I’m sorry, I don’t want to accidentally give you the wrong information or give false hope. I may have misremembered or misunderstood what Kjun said, which is why I said it as a question, not a statement.

I agree with your suggestion, though. It would be cool to see them pull out a repair box for refurbishing appliances, not just furniture. Maybe they could tie that ability to the handiwork skill, since that would be more difficult? Zois can start with refurbishing furniture with wood and fabrics, then move on to more advanced items. It would be cool if they could be mechanics as well.
