The entrance symbol is missing for me, too, but I’m still able to enter the school by clicking in the area near the door and hoping it works.
What is annoying is that sometimes, the option to Go to School is greyed out. I don’t know why that happens, but I can usually fix that by leaving the school property and then returning.
By the way, I’d recommend moving this post to Bug Reports, if you can. The section is for issues such as crashes and error messages. I believe “Update Error” refers to when updates fail to proceed properly, not gameplay errors introduced by updates.
This happens when for some reason the zoi goes out of the school. You can tell this is what happened because the homeworks are visible at the top left already and it’s only 12:34pm on your clock.
Some message from parents received on the cellphone can cause this bug to happen.
Maybe heatwaves and other bad weather that sends ppl home then technically their day is over, but I haven’t paid attention to schools when that happen. Also maybe scheduled events that overlap school can cause this.
At this point, go home and do your homework. The school wont let you back in as the entrance is always automatic, if it does not work, you’re out of luck.
When I modified the school using the installation of a preset building, it also happened to me. I had to restore the property and make the changes in-game to make it work again.
Furthermore, but I only tried with old saves, sometimes the child or teenager when I change family is no longer enrolled in school and I have to re-enroll them.
Still I clicked several times but it did not work, idk what to do. My zois keep dying or sick , I even hopelessly build a whole cafe on the playground and food supplies for them to be comfortable, doing their homework at school with added computers and book stand because I can’t fix this…
And when I go to other saves it’s only this save having the problem. That means to much to me for me to let it go
