This image is from another creator. My prompt window doesn’t even have this 【No】 button—our interfaces are different. Hers is clickable, but mine is not. I even re-downloaded and reinstalled both the EPIC client and Modkit.
Mods: (Only the clothing cc that I am testing plus some hairs).
Hardware Specifications & Operating System: Windows 11, CPU: 11lth Gen i7-11700F 2,5GHz, GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060, 16GB.
Steps to Reproduce: Download any zoi made previous to the latest version or click on zoi presets from previous version.
Details:
Since the latest version update, all the zois you download from before the update, and your own presets that are saved in your gallery trigger and error message that says: “The version of the creation you wish to use is outdated compared to the currently available version. As a result, certain functionalities might be restricted”.
You can see the error message in the image bellow:
However, there is no option to update your zoi preset to the latest version and Canvas doesn’t allow updates for the creations we upload, which means all our previous creations cannot be manually updated. Please, it’d be great if devs could take a look at this issue and give us options to manually update the zoi presets we have uploaded to the gallery, just like we can update our mods.
Moreover if the issue is that the previous presets don’t include the new compulsory information (ambition, trait and name, that honestly I think should be optional when uploading to Canvas), maybe changing the content of the error message to reflect it would be better. Right now, it might make it seem to downloaders as if there is an issue with the zois, but I have checked and they do look fine.
Also every single zoi in canvas when put on your game turn into a young adult zoi regardless the age they were when you uploaded them to canvas. I have middle age Zois and elder Zois on my canvas and when I download them to my game they turn into young adults.
The second I resaved all my Zois with their romantic orientation, I got this bug. I think saving sexual orientation is badly bugged right now. There is a chance it’s something else though.
UPDATE: I tested it again and it’s not the orientation. Sometimes you have to keep refreshing the Zoi character until your Zoi thumbnails show up immediately. If it takes the thumbnail even a second to load, then it may throw that error.
It was acknowledged by devs that the CustomZOI also prevent exporting presets because of this, as there are no spot to update name and all the other requirements.
Hi everyone (@here),
The error message appears for older presets where the name, traits, and characteristics fields were not filled out.
Once those fields are completed, the preset can be updated normally.
However, we understand the message can be a bit confusing as it is and we are really sorry for that.
We plan to revise it to make it clearer.
Thank you for understanding.
Also, @itsmechiie7 , I’ve merged your topic to the existing thread.
I am glad to hear that . However, the problem is not that I get these messages when I click on my presets. I understand I can update my own presets, but there is no way to update the presets that are already uploaded to Canvas, which means Canvas creators would have to upload all those zois one again.
Please let the dev team know this so that we get an option to update the zoi presets that are already uploaded to Canvas instead of having to upload a new presets.
