Details: So since the last update before the one today and the one today - The mirror issue has been happening. I have toggled with all the settings with no resolution but before the last 2 updates, The mirrors showed a perfect reflection and I do not understand what happened. I toggled everything between NVIDIA optimization to the settings in InZoi and no dice.
I posted about this same issue in technical help over a month ago. It happened to me when I’m playing on Mac after the previous update, but so far not on Windows. I tried adjusting settings as well, and nothing fixes it.
There are several things happening with mirrors, after a lot of modifications on Engine.ini, I have been able to pull off the best quality reflections the engine can provide. However, there are some issues:
Hair and eyes on metahumans are black: This is a known issue and has to do with the materials used on the Blueprint, since we don’t have access to those, we can’t fix it with mods I believe?
Mirrors seem to have a light attached to them onn proximity, this needs to be removed as on base-game it causes extreme light on the character (or at least lower it to 50% or something Gee!)
Sunlight always comes through walls / ceilings - I’ve personally tried to modify the engine values to make it not happen but I guess it has to do with the modularity of building. Would love this fixed though, because it’s causing strange light that shouldn’t be there to… just appear out of thin air.
Thanks for sharing! Since this is the same issue with MIRROR BUG, I’ve merged your post into the existing known-issue thread to keep everything together.
I saw this post before but since it had other things related to mirrors I thought posting a new topic would be better, but guess compiling all the issues into one single post is better xD
