What worries me the most right now is the way relationships, conversations, and personality systems currently work together.
More importantly I think actions that are incoherent with a Zoi’s personality should come with visible friction rather than being treated as neutral options. For example, if a shy, reserved, or emotionally guarded Zoi attempts a very direct, intense, or socially bold interaction, this should not play out smoothly by default. The Zoi could feel uncomfortable, hesitate, or even fail at the interaction.
This discomfort could be communicated clearly through mood changes, thought bubbles, animation cues, or failed interactions.
Ideally, the game would explicitly inform the player, with something like: “Zoi feels uncomfortable attempting an action they are not aligned with.” Importantly, this discomfort should not exist in isolation. It should also affect the other Zoi involved, making the interaction feel relational rather than purely mechanical.
Over time, this friction could evolve. A Zoi might become more comfortable with certain actions because of lived experiences, emotional growth, or long-term relationships. The player would then feel that change is earned, not granted for free.
What I think is missing is a clear feeling that social intimacy, trust, or emotional openness are things you build, not things you simply select from a menu. For example, certain conversation topics, emotional gestures, or intimate actions could remain locked behind relationship depth, shared experiences, or repeated compatible interactions. Unlocking them would then feel like an achievement, a sign that something has genuinely evolved between two Zois.
I really hope to see this in the game. Right now, the game offers a strong sense of freedom, but it sometimes feels like a freedom without resistance. Adding friction, limits, and personality-based constraints would not reduce player agency. On the contrary, it would give weight to choices, make progression feel earned, and make relationships feel more alive, more coherent, and more human.
