It’s only one month ago since we got the new Roadmap
and the promised January Updates for the ModKit and Multiplayer didn’t happen.
This new Roadmap is too ambitious in many other points too and will destroy player trust (that already stands on shaky legs) ![]()
It also already happened before with the script mods, city travel, the small winter place, the day length . . .
Please don’t promise things you can’t keep.
Dear inZOI Forum Team, please pin the two topics with roadmaps: [12.26.25] Fundamentals First & 2026 Roadmap (Updated), [1.2.26] Beyond the Fundamentals 2026 Roadmap_Part2 (Updated)

I just want control over the age group length already. ![]()
I’ve been waiting for so long (well since they changed them back in June 2025)
But what can we do? for example, I never liked playing as celebrities, and overall the Sims DLCs on that topic sold the worst (funny enough, people ask for it and then barely play). Nevertheless, I have to push through and “sell” something more universal.
To be fair, they didn’t actually promise anything. All roadmaps come with a warning that the timeline may change and the one relating to modding, canvas and multiplayer came with an extra explanation that due to the need for R&D, the timeline was especially prone to change.
Actually yes, to be fair, there’s no info here that these are release months for players, rather just part of the R&D cycle (“As these initiatives are heavily R&D‑driven, timelines and scope may change depending on development progress”), in January these systems can easily still remain WIP or under testing/QA.
We only have info about the release of the first major update in April, and that’s the only thing we can rely on in terms of public announcements.
Q1 = January-March dev period, the first 2026 major update in April
Q2 = April-June development period
(not as someone stated in Discord, the update release window), so no speculation and disinformation.
Kjun says the big update is at the end of April, but that’s ridiculous. It goes outside the regular schedule. January, February, March, and April would make it four months. Actually, the last date for the first major update to be released should be March. @GDfromRivendell
I have a feeling that by the end of 2026, Inzoi may not immediately become dazzlingly impressive, but based on the 2026 roadmap, it will definitely be much more substantial. To my shame, I’ve barely ever logged into the game and have mostly just been keeping up with the updates—and I believe there are quite a few people like me.
There are too many reasons for this. For one, I feel the content isn’t substantial enough yet, and I don’t want to experience an incomplete game. I prefer to wait until the game is more polished before immersing myself in its world for the long term. Another reason is that the game is still in its Early Access phase, which might require frequent creation of new saves. I dislike starting new saves because I grow attached to the characters in the game—creating a new save feels like killing them off.
Every time I check the 2026 roadmap, I feel hopeful. I really hope that by early 2027, I’ll be able to dive into the game and start playing—I’m honestly getting quite impatient now.
Why do you assume that? The end of April isn’t specifically mentioned. Where? Even if you really to make a square peg fit in a round hole, the EA launch was on March 28, so an April update would be right on the one‑year. But in general, quarterly cycles in development are a common practice, and March is kind of the closing month of dev, then comes polishing, QA, and the publisher approval. If you want to catch the devs out, then please just say it, so we don’t waste time debunking myths.
But I remember him writing “end of April”.
I tried searching, but I couldn’t find that info. Sorry, but since this is a public space, someone might quote your post.
Also, please note that there may be minor updates, for example around Lunar New Year (but this is NOT official info, take it only from the footage!)

Comment response (Discord):
We are currently preparing three builds:
-Engine stabilization build (late February)
-Content update (late March)
-May update
Because of this, small mistakes can happen. Please understand. I’ll also immediately check the question about the bed shown in the video that may not have been included in the update.
Are we switching to Unreal Engine 5.6? @GDfromRivendell
Let’s not speculate, we only have a few days left to wait. This thread is frequently watched, and I’ve seen people in Discord referencing the misinformation that was dropped here, just like the Discord about January, late April, MP. It misleads people.
