Instead of the “congratulations on your engagement” window appearing when planning the wedding to a zoi, the “congratulations on your wedding” window appears directly, saying that “zoi 1 and zoi 2 are now a married couple”, when the wedding is actually the next day and they’re not married yet. Fix this, it’s confusing.
I’m pretty sure this exists because there have been issues with players when their zois married NPCs that did not live in the city. At the end of the wedding, the NPC didn’t always successfully move into the family home and become playable.
I watched a video where the title was something like “Never marry an NPC in inZOI” and I decided to skip having a wedding for my zoi who was dating an NPC at that time. Thankfully, he moved in when they just got married without a party.
I’m not certain, but I think this “you’re married once you plan the wedding party” thing is to prevent any failures at the end of the party.
Let’s hope they can fix it because we’d all like to have the couple become officially married at the end of the wedding if they plan a wedding.
Technically, when you propose and the other zoi accepts, you’re not really married though the difference is thin.
You can tell because right after that screen, you can go in the cellphone and plan the wedding.
Then after the ceremony with the officiator, you’re ‘officially’ married.
I would like an engagement proper tho. That would be awesome.
