I don’t know if this has happened to anyone else, or if anyone has already written a post about this, but my zois keep getting married autonomously. I mean, yes, he proposed to her, and now they’re engaged. But they were supposed (according to my story) to be taking some time to decide when the wedding would be. Also, I like to decide when and where my zois will get married in, or what clothes they will wear, but two times now my zois have married on their own.
The first time, they exchanged rings and everything, but they didn’t change into formal clothes or anything, and I received a game notification that they had gotten married. The second time, there wasn’t even a wedding interaction, rings or whatever, my zoi was just coming home from work, when I received the notification that he and his girlfriend had already gotten married.
What’s going on? Is this some kind of story progression, a new feature, or is there simply a possibility that two Zois will decide to get married on their own? Is it something similar to zois suddenly leaving their family home, a.k.a. running away, when I’m not playing that house? That happened to me days ago as well while I was playing another family. As a result, I lost a very dear zoi I was playing with.
I have nothing against story progression, but I would like it to be an option that we can decide whether or not to activate. Is there any way to turn off this “story progression thingy” to avoid unexpected/unwanted results, at least with the families we’re playing with?
Again, I apologize if someone has already written about this, but I thought I’d report this, not sure if it is a bug, maybe it’s just a new feature, but it has happened to me twice in a row in less that 24 hours. I’ve had to quit both times without saving because I didn’t want my zois to get married yet, much less without a proper wedding celebration. Having to quit and lose all my progress is starting to get annoying, tbh. Same with the zoi running away from home. I mean, are they even coming back, or do we lose them forever? I’d like to know ![]()
