Whenever I’m doing a sale event (Cahaya DLC) since the December 23, 2025 update, prospective buyers can no longer negotiate a discount because the interaction fails to begin.
The customer and the seller both get the conversation icon above their heads which lets me know the customer wants to negotiate, but the two zois fail to get into position and the discount dialogue box doesn’t appear.
This is hurting my zoi’s livelihood because I’m used to those negotiations. I’d rather make some sales at a discount than waste an entire day on two sale events because customers are forced to pay full price.
I’m having the same issue. My zoi buyers cannot negotiate the price and I end up losing the sale. For me I did get the icon to negotiate the price but any of them would move they would just stay standing there.
Definitely the same problem with slightly different behaviour from the NPC and seller.
In the past, they would get the icons above their heads, move into a position, then a second position before the discount dialogue window popped up. I wonder if they tried to improve it so only one moving-into-position action is required.
For me, the buyer walks away a second or so after both zois get the icon over their heads. My seller zoi stands still, and the buyer walks away immediately. I’m not sure if they walk away because my zoi fails to move toward them, or if both zois fail.
It means I can try to host a sale and hope to sell things at the price I set, and afterward, sell the leftover items from my zoi’s bag—even though I won’t make as much profit. It’ll save me the time of hosting a second sale, and my zoi can go collect more raw materials to sell more crafted items.
I hope this will get fixed soon. My zois depend on this income! Actually, it’s one of the main reasons for Cahaya to exist.
I needed to take a screenshot of something, so I loaded an autosave where my zoi was hosting a sale. The sale was ongoing when I loaded the autosave. This time, two buyers successfully engaged my zoi in the price negotiation dialogue. However, after agreeing to give them a discount, the buyers both immediately walked away without buying anything.
The result (no sale) is the same, but the dialogue occurred.
