'Upload to Canvas' freeze - FIXED

  • Game Version: 20251229.9549.W

  • Platform: Steam windows

  • Mods: never used

  • Hardware Specifications & Operating System (OS version, CPU, GPU, RAM, storage…): Windows 11, Intel i9 10850k CPU, Nvidia RTX 5070ti GPU, 32GB of RAM, 1TB SSD.

  • Steps to Reproduce: Try to upload a property preset to Canvas, click the button to upload an existing screenshot, close the file explorer without choosing a photo.

  • Please provide the entire save file(s) from the date when the issue occurred.
    (can’t provide the save file from when the freeze/crash happened because I wasn’t able to save, but this is the most recent one).

  • Details:
    The upload to Canvas screen freezes the entire game when doing as described above, making it impossible to close the screen or do anything at all. The only thing I could still do was click the ‘add image’ button, but selecting a file made no change. The game gave me a freeze message and that the application would be shut down. I clicked ok and the game shut down to desktop. After I returned to the game and tried again, everything worked as intended, so it is not a consistent problem but it did happen once.

Thank you for catching and reporting this bug. The freezes / crashes / bugs with canvas seem to have increased a lot with the recent updates.

I’ve never had inZOI crash yet, I had one property that would not upload to canvas, I had to remove the 3d printed objects then it uploaded, I was wondering why it wouldn’t upload because I have downloaded properties with 3d objects in them, it was because the file size was too large, I’m going to build a smaller version so that I can have the 3d objects to make the build what it should be.

If inZOI crashes during uploading to canvas, open canvas on google and see if it uploaded before returning to the game, this might help :slight_smile:

I never got as far as pressing the upload button. As stated in my bug report my game froze when I clicked on the ‘add image’ button.

Your pc specs are nice.

So many things can cause games to crash or freeze, hopefully the inZOI team can optimize this game so that crashes and freezes are very rare. :+1:

This seems to have been fixed since the latest modkit update.
