Click on BBQ Grill, the “Grill Steak” interaction is greyed out.
Hovering over inactive interaction gives “No fridge nearby” message, despite a fridge being immediately beside it.
All fridges in Build Mode produce same result.
Note that the fridge immediately beside the BBQ is the second one on the property, the main fridge in the kitchen was also declared as "too far away”. If I remove the original fridge in the kitchen so there’s only one immediately beside the BBQ, the grill still doesn’t work.

Do you happen to have an older save file where you can check if it happens there too?
Could you upload the save file it happens in?
Had this happen when the fridge is far from the grill (which will be the case with some builds)…
If you click the grill and select “Cook steak” or w/e it will complain that no fridge is in range.
BUT if you click the fridge and cook a steak from there, your Zoi will get the meat out of the fridge and walk all the way to the grill to cook normaly and everything works.
Happened in 2 of my houses so far, and I assume I will have the issue everywhere except when the kitchen is just a few feet from the the grill.
Thanks for letting me know others are having this issue too, although as I mentioned, I have a fridge immediately beside the grill and it still complains that it’s too far away.
I’ll try the “cook steak by clicking the fridge” method you mentioned and see what happens.
