Personally, I finished redoing all my properties for 0.7.0.
Basically 0.7.0 “Un-Anchored” all properties and many would glitch out placing them back, even if the lots were EXACTLY the same size.
So I placed them back, corrected any cropping that happened by redoing the fences and landscaping and occasional restructuring of the house itself (Only one property had to be permanently cropped, the Seaside Serenity (the one on the 8 Beachfront view), where they made the Y axis shorter by 5 squares and gave us 10+ on the “X” axis, unfortunately that made my property not fit properly)… Everything else was repaired. They now automatically place when used in the lot they were created into, as it should.
I took the opportunity to remaster my own creations using my current-day skills, hence why it took so many days to complete, but some of them gained a lot more character. Like my Cahaya Farming house, which is now ready for when they fix Farming properly (none of the Automatic instant harvest/planting/watering/weeding thing… I’ll click once and all my zois will do the work, as it should be. My Property has 352 farming lots now, so it makes a huge gameplay difference - they should fix and make those “decorative” sprinklers 7x7 watering of farming lots though, ngl !).

Thanks. I’m not the best for those fancy bubbly houses I see on canvas, but I usually can pull my own weight for the end-goal on which the house is build for. I can’t wait to use it ! Soon enough I hope !

I download and showcase certain content from Canvas, but I never use anyone else’s creations in my game. I try not to reference real-world art, but I made an exception for my first Let’s Play and created a modern take on Mona Lisa with a leather jacket and such because I use artwork to express the type of zois who live there.
When it comes to any spiritual beliefs in the game, I play my zois with shamanic beliefs and focus on cats in their spiritual art as well as decorative.
Here are pictures of two custom creations I made for the fortune teller’s shop redesign in Bliss Bay. The cards have cats, so I felt it was better to make it all cat-themed and in-line with the game’s lore.
I use Midjourney for AI art generation because I have a customized version of the model that creates art based on my aesthetic preferences.
That means I’m not familiar with Nano Banana other than what I’ve heard and examples I’ve seen. I’ve been a Midjourney user since 2022, but I’ve tried other services, too. It’s nice to discover what’s possible. It looks like Nano Banana is super-coherent. Midjourney’s version 8 (currently in Alpha mode) is more coherent than any previous version, but it lost a little bit of its artistic flare. As a result, the model is still being fine-tuned but I can’t wait to see what v8 will be like once it’s released out of alpha. V8 can generate images with large amounts of text now, so I’ve created some new cat-themed clothes to upload soon which have text about cats with cat art.

I don’t mean to derail the thread with chatter about AI art generation, but it is a passion of mine and always nice to encounter other talented creators.
I was playing the update and my zois can still tend to one plant at a time. There’s an option for doing many at once, but I have my zois tend to each plot. I’ve always used the scarecrow for harvesting larger areas, but that’s as much of a “one time” action I want for my gardener zois right now.
How much money did your zois tend to earn from that farm property before the update?
@Starwing This is the third iteration of the farm.
The first one had like 160 lots.
The second one, my most played, had ~192, that one I was able to get roughly 25k in sales in a good harvest (with about maybe 3-4k investment? and a lot of time to setup each harvest).
So I am expecting this one to yield anywhere between 40-50k profits per harvest, if there’s no disasters. Will have to test and see when we get there.
See, I have not tried this third one, as I am waiting for them to fix Farming properly.
That is to say, I click : “Remove ALL Weeds”, and the selected Zoi will sequentially move from one to the next lot, removing any weeds it finds, without me clicking the lot + remove weed 352 times (and struggling to click the lot of one of those middle ones when Banana/Mango trees are covering the whole thing !). And option to do the task with family (“Remove ALL Weeds with family”) where all available zois also join in would be very practical.
I know you can do one by one now, with 704 clicks in my case, and you can do INSTANT with one click, but what I want it the simulation to happen, let me click once, and then let the zoi (or zois if they implement it) do the work. Having those “decorative sprinklers” not just be decorative but water a 7x7 or 8x8 patch of farming lots would speed up watering, which I am fine with, the watering could happen that way as it makes sense.
I hope no one see this as off-topic, the thread is Did you build something lately? and art is part of building, if art wasn’t part of building we’d only have a box with a window and a door lol
I’m not paying for ai art, I have paid money to Openart and Piclumin in the past and now there’s many free ai sites, most give free daily credits, Arena (can’t figure out why is completely free) let’s us use all of the ai generator tools, Nano Banana Pro runs out after about 10 or so generations per hour, but can be used every hour.
Back to the subject about building in inZOI, this is a video game, like in Minecraft we can build anything and the only thing that limits us is our own imagination
I haven’t tried the flower shop business at all yet. I just finished uploading my remodel of the free shop in Cahaya, and your flower shop just blew my mind.
I uploaded my remodel of the free shop in Cahaya. This is Cosmic Coffee, the cafe from my current Let’s Play series. However, the cafe isn’t shown in the upcoming episodes because I was managing it from home after the haunting issue it had. (I posted about it here because it was frustrating to have to give up on my business because of the ghosts of customers!)
Cosmic Coffee includes 5 custom textures. All but one are framed coffee-themed artwork, and the main one is a pattern that adorns the dining tables and the tablecloth of the tarot table.
I love that I was able to recolour the crystal ball so it looks like a gas-giant planet. It still casts a purple glow while it’s in use, but the interior of the ball looks very sci-fi cosmic rather than fantasy-like.
All artwork was created by me using my personalized Midjourney model. I’ll chat a little bit more about AI art.
I’m not paying for AI art either—my husband pays for it for 2 reasons. The first is that I have health issues that limit my hobbies to computer activities—especially gaming. When I began creating AI art in 2022, it enabled me to “make art” in one way again (since I can’t make physical art anymore), and he wants to make sure I have things that make me happy. But his other reason for paying for me to use Midjourney is he likes what I can create with it. I make art for our album and single covers, and even used Midjourney to create videos that I used in our most recent music videos. That’s so exciting and rewarding for me! Of course it’s also nice that I can create a music video for a third of the cost we were used to before, and I’m able to express our vision better because I’m involved in the creation of the music the art represents.
Being able to make custom art and patterns for inZOI is really, really fun for me! The ability to import my AI-generated creations and share with others through this game is one of my favourite things about inZOI!
Technically, no but how I’ve done it is to cancel the ‘Go Home’ when your business closes for the day - then you can stay at the property and use everything that’s there. For my bakery, I used to stay after ‘work’ to bake cakes - lol Thank you so much for your awesome compliment and I’m so happy you like it.
That’s a great idea. I’ve asked for mixed-use properties in the future. I hope they can add them. It’s very common for some businesses to have residential space(s) above the ground-floor business space.

Today I finished my Dowon 4 story house (Labelled 5 stories, but I do not use the roof).
It was at the Evergreen property but since it is 20x15 it fits in a couple spots.
Lots of beds, and feels like if this was a small office building that was converted into residential use later.

This property was part of the BASE GAME property list available for that lot, but was unfinished (?)
Some outside walls did not have their brick painted on, and the whole thing felt unfinished.
For a moment I thought it was a Canvas Download I had done long ago and forgot about, but apparently not.
For example, when I started working on the inside, the gym area was closed-off and completely dark, the side spaces where I have the study lounge and the music/art lounge was the same, not accessible nor lighted.
So took me a lot of work I didn’t plan for, but am very happy for the result !

I’m shocked! I’m just finishing the extensive decorating of my 4 storeys (plus roof) converted office building house for the same lot.
Well, I’m not at all surprised about the old office building, but shocked about a gym on the main floor and how many floors. Mine is much different and created for my upcoming Let’s Play series, so it’s designed and decorated for specific characters, but I can’t wait to share it in the videos and on Canvas.
I tried to keep elements of the building as realistic to the house’s backstory as possible, so the exterior is not at all fancy like yours!! You did a lovely job on your creation. People will only want mine for the vibes or because they like the videos.
Plug/showcase mine in in your video as an alternative if you want.
Us non-youtube/stream creators get a bit ignored with the big numbers on our builds, sadly.
