A More Complex and Expanded Banking & Financial System..money is not just an accessory.

Hello everyone,

You know, this aspect of life has been touched upon before in previous life-simulating games, but this particular game has the potential to do it in the right and enjoyable way, simply because of its unique design. :credit_card: :atm_sign:

Dream feature: Dynamic Economy. Make all these products dynamic and reflect the world around you. That way, finance becomes a gameplay feature that truly matters.

Here are some ideas for new bank products and features that could make the game’s financial system feel more alive:

  • Diverse Account Types: Let’s go beyond a simple checking account. We could have:

    • Savings Accounts: These could earn a small but steady interest rate, encouraging Zois to set money aside for big purchases or emergencies.

    • High-Yield Savings Accounts (HYSAs): For Zois who are good with their money, these accounts could offer a higher interest rate, but might require a minimum balance or have a limited number of withdrawals, just like in real life.

    • Certificates of Deposit (CDs): For long-term goals, Zois could “lock in” their money for a set period (e.g., 1 year, 5 years) in exchange for an even higher interest rate. Breaking the CD early would result in a penalty, adding a layer of risk and reward.

  • Credit Cards with a Purpose: Credit cards could be more than just a way to spend money. They could have different perks:

    • Cash-Back Cards: These would give a small percentage of money back on every purchase.

    • Rewards Cards: These could offer points that can be used to purchase exclusive in-game items or experiences, like travel or concert tickets.

    • Building Credit: Using a credit card responsibly (paying the bill in full and on time) would directly affect a Zoi’s credit score, which could be required for things like home loans or business ventures.

  • Investment Products: This would add a whole new level of gameplay. Zois could:

    • Buy and Sell Stocks: Players could buy shares in fictional inZoi companies and watch their value fluctuate. Market events, like a celebrity Zoi’s new movie release or a major company scandal, could cause stock prices to rise and fall dramatically.

    • Mutual Funds: For Zois who aren’t into micro-managing a portfolio, they could invest in a mutual fund, which would be a safer, but slower, way to grow their wealth.

    • Bonds: A Zoi could buy a government bond for a fixed, safe return, perfect for a Zoi who is risk-averse or planning for retirement.

  • Retirement Planning: A Zoi’s financial life should extend beyond their working years. We could have:

    • Retirement Accounts: Zois could automatically contribute a portion of their paycheck to a retirement account (like a 401k or IRA). This money could grow over time and would be essential for supporting them in their golden years.

    • Pensions: Certain jobs could come with a pension, which would provide a steady income after retirement, a nice reward for a Zoi who has dedicated their life to a career.

These kinds of features would not only make the game more realistic, but they would also give players more choices and goals to work toward. What do you think? What other financial products would you love to see in the game? Let’s discuss and show the developers that we’re ready for a more complex financial world!
