If all your mods are from curseforge, you can just close the game and reopen it, it should load them back again. If that doesn’t work disable and re-enable them from the mods menu ingame.

If you installed mods manually (extracting zips or whatever) you need to go to the directory where you installed it.

In the case of Documents/InZoi/Mods/ if you have any mods in this folder then you need to go into the folder and modify the mod_manifest.json file with notepad changing the value of the “bEnabled” row to “true”.

If there’s a folder named as “88849”, this folder contains all the curseforge mods you installed from the game, I don’t think you need to change anything here. Usually reopening the game does the trick.

Now, if you’ve used Nexus Mods and such, these are usually installed in C/Program Files (X86)/Steam/steamapps/InZOI/BlueClient/Content/Paks/~mods

Here you’ll find all the other mods you’ve installed externally, you have to go into each one and edit the extension name of any file ending with “.pak_disabled” to “.pak” (keeping the name of the file as “Whatever_The_File_Name_Is.pak” for example)

For future updates if you end up editing a lot, simply move the folders to a different location before there’s an update for the game, after updating and launching the game once (without playing) you can then close the game, move the folders back in and done.

Note that when there’s an update InZoi disables mods for security, so your game doesn’t crash out of nowhere when it boots up after an update. So the safest way is moving the mods back in batches. Say 10-20 at a time so if your game crashes at least you can identify which one is causing the crash faster.

Thank you so much for the insight it definitely helps! When you said move the folders, you mean the mods folders. Right?

Yep, or you can simply just move the whole main folder before installing any update to make it easier
