Laptop Use, Sit/Lay Animations & Player-Controlled Interactions

Laptop Use Beyond Tables:

I would love for Zois to be able to use laptops in many more natural ways, not just on tables or desks. Examples include:

  • Sitting cross-legged on the bed while using a laptop

  • Sitting on the bed against the headboard with the laptop on their lap

  • Lying down while using a laptop

  • Standing and using a laptop (for example, at a coffee shop with a standing area)

These are very normal, everyday ways people use laptops and would add a lot of realism.

Player Control Over Laptop Use Duration:

When a Zoi starts using a laptop, the interaction should continue until the player manually stops it. Similar to relaxing or lounging interactions, the player should decide when the Zoi is done instead of the animation automatically ending and the Zoi walking away.

Draggable Laptops:

It would be amazing if laptops were draggable objects. Players could move them freely between surfaces, beds, couches, or other areas, making gameplay feel more flexible and realistic.

Multiple Sitting & Laying Animations:

Zois should have multiple sitting and laying positions that cycle naturally. For example:

  • Different ways to sit on a bed

  • Sitting at the edge of the bed in different poses

  • Lying down in different positions

  • Lounging vs relaxed vs upright positions

These animations could rotate automatically so Zois don’t always sit or lay the same way.

Using Other Objects in Bed:

In addition to laptops, Zois should be able to:

  • Read books while sitting or lying in bed

  • Write while sitting on the bed

  • Use devices comfortably without needing a desk

These interactions should feel casual and cozy, reflecting real daily life.

General Animation Variety:

Overall, I would love more animation variety for sitting, laying down, and casual interactions. Small differences in posture and behavior would make Zois feel more natural, less robotic, and more alive.
