Customers aren't ordering anything

Well, as Deniice’s original message says, the problem isn’t the lack of people, it’s more like they don’t buy much. Or apparently in some people’s cases they don’t buy at all. That’s got to be some kind of bug, right?

In the updates, they specifically mentioned these fixes. Let’s hope everything works out for you.

I also noticed this “error,” as you say, but I found solutions, which I described above.

Thank you for helping us play this game.:ok_hand:

For example, I replaced the doors and windows in the cafe, built a canopy over the umbrellas, and raised the walls up to the ceiling so it wouldn’t be cold for visitors in winter. And all sorts of nice touches that I think should work. After all, people made the game too, so our ideas should align.

Hmm, well, you obviously have a different building than me. Mine already had walls.

The game is the same for you and me, and they offer the same buildings for business. Believe me. I just love building, and if something isn’t right, I improve it right away. Sometimes the little things matter, maybe only to me. Sorry)

@aliko.prixodko Could you explain a little more how the employee training helped you to earn more money:

  • Would you say the sales amount increased after employee training?
  • And was this training exactly tailored to their task, like e.g. cooking or drink mixing?
  • How where you able to do a training for a business where your Zoi is only manager and it is driven by employees only? For me the lecture board is not clickable in this setup.

And regarding the terminals:

  • Do you mean the kiosks for ordering?
  • How many do you have for a good running business? My observation was that they actually only sometimes use them and often just go and buy directly out of the market stands.

And last but not least:

  • Where do you have the option to “attract customers”? I only have “promote business” on the computer. My business currently has 3 Stars.
  • Is it unlocked later or where should I search for it?

Thanks in advcance :slightly_smiling_face:

Well, obviously it’s not the same building I’ve bought, because mine had no umbrellas outside and had no half-walls.

In my own experience (which may be me mis-interpreting my observations), employee cooking / baking / coffee skill don’t seem to really drive up sales per se, they just result in different quality stuff to sell. Which affects customer satisfaction when they do buy, especially if you jacked the prices up.

I personally also never did any particular lecturing them, just one on one normal conversations where I’d now get an option to teach them stuff.

Reason being that it’s trivial to poach an employee that is good at some relevant skill from the start, or possibly even two skills. For example NPCs working a hot dog cart or food truck get high cooking skill, even though they don’t actually do any cooking, they just stand around it. So you can just take the bus to the Bliss Bay amusement park, do some professional introduction to every single vendor on the pier, and now you have a pool of highly skilled cooks to hire.

Same applies to a surprising number of other skills, since most NPCs have a job, even if it’s not obvious. Like, some zoi’s job is literally to be the homeless guy at the park, or the surfer babe hogging the mic at the beach, or such.

Anyway, that’s why I don’t bother with a whiteboard for employees. Other people’s mileage may vary.

So hi guys, i gave inZOI another try today and i tried the business gameplay again and apparently if you don’t add a kiosk to your business the costumers will buy almost nothing. After adding the kiosk in my café zoi’s started to buy things like every minute which is good and better then whatever happened before. So this is my solution, idk if you guys have a kiosk in y’all business.. but if not, try adding one and see if everything works normally.

Conversely, by my testing today, if you have like 3-4 kiosks (I already had one before), they’ll buy stuff like crazy.

Disclaimer: that’s not entirely scientific. There are 3 different changes that happened:

  • the new hotfix,
  • my adding kiosks,
  • my using the promote business option before the hotfix hit

A proper scientific test would involve changing just one, or at least compensating for the other two, but since 1 and 3 are entirely out of my control, that’s the best I can do at the moment.

I originally had a shopping kiosk. My visitors barely approached it. They bought everything without leaving the product counter. So no, this won’t solve my problem. And yes, I took the advice and advertised through a computer. That didn’t change anything. For me, sales only go well when the first floor is open and the second floor is closed. My doors are positioned correctly, there are no collisions between objects. The only thing is I don’t use stairs—I have an elevator to the second floor.

Okay sigh, i take back what i said about the kiosks… My customers bought so much in the beginning with just one kiosk.. but i added one more and now they aren’t buying anything again?.. like they just stand in front of the kiosk ready to buy something and then they end up not getting anything?… but with one kiosk they bought everything?… ughh i thought adding kiosk fixed the issue. My café/bakery has now two stars, almost not making profit again. But with one star it made lots of profit..

Edit: They also only buy the ones that are newly fresh baked or made, but the cakes and coffee that i made like 3 hours ago.. they don’t touch that.

I’ve set prices to the maximum of 125%. I prepare dishes manually, choosing the most expensive ones with quality no lower than average. During a working day, I sell about 5 dishes at a price of approximately 250-600 each, plus revenue from paid entry. It’s quite decent profit. With Zoi, I don’t need to cook a lot or hire an employee. My bakery currently has 2 stars. I’ve found this method acceptable for myself.

Ah. Paid entrance. That’s what I never did, because frankly I’ve never seen a bakery charging that IRL.

Maybe I should try that.

Another workaround i found is turning around the stands, someone mentioned in this thread that this could be what’s causing the lack of sales.. and apparently it’s true, my sales are doing well again.

But at the same time.. my employee’s needs to go around the store just to place the goods in there which doesn’t make sense to me :grimacing:

We don’t have clear instructions from the developer on how the business should work. Each of us chooses a working model for our game, so the results are different. Yes, in real life, charging an entrance fee to a bakery is not normal. But… I came to this method out of desperation. As soon as sales increase at higher stars, I will remove the paid entrance. Probably…

Yes, my stalls were turned that way all along. In fact, the tutorial business had the starting ones pointed that way from the start.

And if you think about it, customers must come from all sorts of places in your shop and around to where they can grab the merchandise. I mean, you could have a table in the back, or upstairs, or only Yog-Sothoth knows where. I’m sure you’ve seen pre-made venues like that.

What I’m getting at is that if rotating the stall, when either rotation is still accessible, makes any difference, then that must be a bug.

I was perhaps unclear. There was no criticism directed towards you. I was just thanking you for the tip. And if there is any fault, IMHO it’s an imbalance on Krafton’s side.

There’s hidden humor in your comments, I noticed that a long time ago and I really like it! You often make me laugh when I read your answers or posts! :joy: :+1: I know this isn’t criticism! It’s subtle humor!!!
