Unable to start a Romance?

20260114.9803.w, none, i9-11900K, 64GB Ram, RTX3090, 4TB SSds. Unable to start a romance

Two house mates (not related) Young man and woman. I have trying hard to start up a romance between them, but I cant seem to make any progress? It was very easy in Sims 4. They are long life friends, trust each other, always complimentary and positive to each other. They even sleep together in same bed. But I cant find how to get them romantic? Man control, click on woman (or woman to man), all the same activity list, but no Romance in the list? Affection is in list, but Nothing to indicate to start a romance, unable to rest the heads on each other, a box comes up, to choose a zoi but the house mate is not listed? Why? This has been going on for 7 Inzoi days. PLEASE, how do you start a romance. I am frustrated. And from the expression on the 2 zoi’s, they are too.!?

Thanks for reply. I have checked both male & female. Both ‘Interested in romantic relation’ are checked . Male to Female, checked. Female to male checked.

This has to be serious bug on the game. If I cant rectify this soon, then as far as I am concerned, I will ditch InZoi and go back to Sims 4. There is no point in playing the game if you cant begin a romance! Maybe change this post to bugs?

It’s their characteristics/traits

I had two zois romanced and got married with no problem, then on a new game I had two zios that no matter what they’d never romance because of some characteristics (which is stupid)

inZOI needs to fix this though simply because anyone can fall in love regardless of their characteristics

I can’t believe this is happening, how dare they keeping our Zois from falling in love?
This is so frustrating and invasive and restrictive . . .

And on top of that not even giving us a hint why it can’t happen -.-

I had to start over and change one of their characteristics and traits, Idk what I had to change but it worked, good thing it wasn’t in a long played game where I added a zoi to hookup with.

You can always change them with cheats, no need to start over.
But I really do not like the decision the game is going with forced routines, preventing older gentlemen of having a young wife, and now traits interfering.

It’s as if the devs want to play the game for us.
Very disappointed (if all of the above is on purpose)

I like that they have compatible personality traits (if that’s true). In real life, you can’t have a relationship with just anyone; some people just aren’t right for you. But I’d like some explanation as to which traits are incompatible
