The current body hair options in CAZ leave a lot to be desired.
- While I think the current slider system isn’t necessarily a bad one, it could definitely be improved. The max option simply isn’t enough for some people, and there needs to be a way to select different patterns.
- Using the above photo for reference, you can see that there are way more body hair patterns than inZoi offers. inZoi basically has the far left option and that’s it. If we want to create diverse zois, we need more options here.
- We also need a way for modders to be able to add their own body hair patterns
- Another reason for a pattern selector - different textures! People of European, Asian, and African descent all have different textures that need to have representation.
- Women have body hair too! Maybe I missed it, but there is no option for women to have body hair. This definitely needs to be added in as an option. Not all women choose to shave.
- Underarm hair category
- 3D body hair - the painted-on stuff looks odd, especially considering that beards and cropped hair options are all 3D
- Growing body hair
- This wouldn’t be too difficult to add in, especially with the current sliders on the body hair. If we could select from different patterns, the sliders could represent how long since they were last shaved. Of course this could be an optional system, but I think many players would enjoy it, especially if it could be chosen as something your zoi does by default in the shower on a per-zoi basis
- For teens, the body hair could slowly start growing to their set genetic level over the teen lifestage.
So basically, my vision for all of this together is:
- choose a body hair pattern in CAZ for each area (chest, back, arms, underarms, legs, etc)
- choose the maximum slider level for that pattern, so basically how dense it (the genetic level)
- optionally shave body hair, and have it grow back to the genetic level set in CAZ over time.
- make all choices inheritable
