More Specific Skills

Oops! I just realized this is a copy of this post. I searched but didn’t see it until now. Please go hearth that post also if you agree with this idea!

The Idea

I was disappointed to see that there was just an “instrument” skill for everything from singing to playing guitar or DJing.

While I do think knowing certain skills should make learning related skills easier, I think combining skills together into broad categories should be avoided.

A great example of where this has already been done was with the “coffee craft,” “baking,” and “cooking” skills. I was delighted to see such specific skills!

Examples of Skills to Split Up

I would like to see the “instrument” skill separated out for each instrument type: singing, guitar, drums/percussion, DJing, piano, etc.

The “critical thinking” skill separated into “logic” and “writing.”

The “art” skill changed to “painting” so that down the road we could see separate “pottery,” “knitting,” “weaving,” etc. skills

What do ya’ll think? Are there any other skills you would like to see separated out into more specific categories?
