Hope to improve skill animations, options, presentation, and categorization (using music as an example)

I discovered something while having Zoi play guitar: his skill level is relatively low, and the music that comes out is quite unpleasant to listen to, but his movements are very smooth, which makes me feel a bit disconnected. I hope to refine various skills together, much like how we perfect treadmill movements. Additionally, when performing different music genres, he should adopt appropriate movements—for example, playing rock music with passionate energy, while playing classical music would only require gentle swaying.

Secondly, after I improved Zoi’s music skill, I found that while the music he can play has increased, it’s still very limited, and there’s a phenomenon where playing different songs results in hearing the same tune. I hope the game can increase the variety of music so we can clearly feel Zoi’s improvement.

Finally, regarding skill classification. Shouldn’t the mastery of different instruments like guitar, piano, violin, and drums be classified as separate skills rather than all being included under a single “music” skill? After all, just because we master the violin doesn’t mean we know anything about the trumpet or drums.

If this system could be improved, we would be able to connect even more closely with the Zoi we’ve created, making him appear more lifelike and warm.

I agree. The movements should look more clumsy. After practicing too long, there could be a moodlet that the fingers hurt so one cannot “spam” practice and actually need to take a break.

I also agree to this, but I can also see that some might not want this. But at the same time, swimming and fitness are two different skills as well, so it would be only fair to do the same with instruments.

What I would also like is the ability to buy books with music scores our Zoi can learn and then perform.

Every time this comes up, I think about how in The Sims we can see Sims with low cooking skills dropping pepper into the pot and looking bewildered because of their mistakes, but as their skill level increases, they can even perform cooking actions like juggling to show how skilled they’ve become. Watching them improve little by little is really delightful, isn’t it! I’m really looking forward to the day when inzoi can realize that too.
