I saw while playing that when hovering over the edit button beside the gender indicator within caz, it says this:
”Changes to gender identity can only be made to Zois that are Young Adults or older.” and “Romantic preferences can be changed if a Zoi is a Teenager or older.”
I personally experimented with and knew my identity by the time I was 15-16 years old. You do not have to be an adult to know what pronouns you wish to use. Why can Zois know who they’re attracted to when they’re teens, but not know their own identity?
I find features like this to be exclusionary and inhibiting to player storytelling, and I see no upside to having this lock in place.

Yes, I totally get that request. IRL the time frame of gender, identity and romantic preferences is pretty much wide open. I just think that the devs had to limit it to YA / teenager because of how the game is programmed. Romantic options are only available from teenager+, which is an understandable design choice of course, and due to that limitation the romantic preferences setting makes no sense in earlier life stages.
I think the gender identity could definitely be programmed to be adjusted way earlier, probably in child stage? Since that’s the first stage where Zois can actively interact with people outside of their household / somewhere in the city.
