Urge that doesn't work ("Write something" interactions)

Zoi wants to “write down today’s thoughts in the diary.”
The interaction doesn’t work (the Urge doesn’t disappear), Zoi takes the diary in her hand for a moment and puts it back.
I’ve tried all the “Write something” options, and none of them work.
I’m attaching a video.

I just tried it and it works.
Do you have a desk and a chair near the bookshelf and have you checked the chair snapped to the table and everything is routeable?
Maybe try in a new save/another household/with other furniture placed.
Maybe it’s the bookcase? Like that one buggy fridge we can’t use properly.

I currently have a similar problem in Dowon I’m testing.
My Zois won’t read a novel. If I chose another book, it works just fine and reading a novel works at Cahya ö.Ö’ So weird

Hi, thanks for your help and the idea you gave me.
I tried another bookcase and it didn’t work. Then I inventoryed the desk and found this “pile of books” underneath that I hadn’t noticed.
I removed them and put the desk back in and now it works.

The pile of books probably started out on top of the desk, I sometimes find objects fall through the surface and end up on the floor underneath.

Hi everyone (@here), thank you for sharing the detailed information and solutions. From what’s been described, this issue doesn’t seem to come from the interaction system itself, but rather from hidden or obstructing objects—like the pile of books under the desk in this case.

Since it’s not an interaction bug, I’ll go ahead and close this post.
If anyone else runs into a similar issue, we recommend checking the surrounding furniture and making sure there aren’t any objects blocking the interaction.

Trying with different furniture or testing in a new save can also help narrow down the cause if the problem happens again.

Thanks again to all of you for reporting and sharing your findings! :psycat_lay:
