    Here’s the screenshot. As you can see, I’m using the Chinese version, and my Zoi is obviously a female. But on the info page, they said my Zoi is a male and into females. Same as my husband Zoi, they said my husband is a female and into males..

If I remember correctly, the game no longer automatically sets a Zoi’s gender identity (the gender state in the Zoi card) and orientation after setting the Zoi’s sex (the Zoi’s “appearance”). Now, it requires double-checking, which is unfortunate because the menu is easy to miss.

Try using the CustomZoi cheat and setting it to the settings you want.

  1. Enable cheats in AR Talk
  2. Ctrl + Shift + C to open the cheat console
  3. Enter cheat “showZoiInfo true” (no quotes)
  4. Write down the Zoi ID for each Zoi you want to edit
  5. For each Zoi, enter cheat “CustomZoi [Zoi ID]” (no brackets)
    1. For example: if my Zoi’s ID was “12345”, I’d enter “CustomZoi 12345”
  6. Enter cheat “showZoiInfo false”

The cheat isn’t necessary anymore, you can change it by just bringing your Zoi to CAZ via ‘style yourself, the mirror…
It’s hidden behind that small icon:

This happens so often.
When you enter CAZ to create a Zoi and the random Zoi that shows up is male, for example, and you change him to female, he keeps his mal gender in these settings (also the other way around).
I already started a thread in the wishlist to change this → here.

This is what I noticed happening, too. I never used to bother with the gender/preferences bit, but I deliberately check now that I know zois will be assigned the gender and preferences of the default loaded preset on launching CaZ. It is somewhat counter-intuitive, and the option in CaZ is so small it is easy to miss altogether.

Still, good to know it can be edited in-game.
