I hope we can do exactly the same things in the CustomZoi cheat as in Character Studio — especially detailed editing, age group, gender options, and name changing. We need more freedom when it comes to using the cheat.

Oh my, me too. I have no idea why it is so restricted.
Name changing, for example, each Zoi has their unique Zoi ID, so their name doesn’t matter at all.
And I really hope we can change the age soon too.

I’m pretty sure Detailed Editing was possible in the CustomZoi cheat before, because I used it constantly to fine-tune the features of my zois. But after the update and the Cahaya DLC, the Detailed Editing option disappeared completely from the CAZ menu when using the CustomZoi cheat.
Please, please bring it back; it is a must-have!

I have edited 2 of my zois using this cheat, and I have been able to change everything I wanted about them - including swapping them out for another preset entirely. Seems pretty unrestricted to me, though I haven’t tried changing gender or name.
Can you please send a screenshot?
Because after the update, the detailed mode and the toggle for symmetry missing in my game too.

You are probably right, thinking about it, it is entirely possible that since the update the only editing of zois I have done has consisted of changing their preset entirely - which ofc is still possible.
That is a work-around currently, to be able to edit anything you want. It’s a bit of a longer process, making a preset of your zoi, editing it in CaZ to what you want, then editing your current zoi (using ID ofc) and swapping to the new preset. And of course you then need to change all their outfits from the default stuff, too.
That does work though, I have done exactly this twice in the past week. It would be nice if we still had a more direct way of doing it, naturally…
This is exactly what happened to me! Nothing in the menu under the zoi like it used to (Your first picture). Now when applying the CustomZoi cheat, it appears like in your second picture, which is nothing at all. And yes, you can edit the zoi, but the sliders available are the basic editing ones only.

I am also able to change the zoi preset but it used to be possible to detail edit them too. I know this because a big part of the fun for me is giving NPCs and even my OC makeovers, and I am constantly going back and forth with the CustomZoi cheat to fine-tune the details. But since the last update, this is no longer possible. I hope the detailed option (with the cheat) returns because, like I said before, it is a must-have!

I’ve noticed in the ‘what’s in development’ video #2 on discord, there is a button again, I hope we get the detailed mode back with the October Update!

OMG!! This is great news, thank you! I’m tired of having to re-do my zois each time I want to change something. Do you have any idea when the October update will come? It’s the 15th already. I hope it won’t take much longer!

Kjun announced an October 30th patch. It was mentioned it’s a smaller update (since the last was only a month and couple of days ago), hopefully the upcoming “fix” will include this, PLUS, a way for us to access the WHOLE functionality of Creating a Zoi when editing using the CustomZoi cheat; Name, Gender, Age, TRAIT (omg this one), plus of course the detailed editing functionality.
