How do I reduce the size of my lot to upload it to Canvas? (100MB limit reached)

I spent quite a fair amount of time building a beach house in Cahaya on the Kenanga Laut House Lot but I’m unable to upload it to Canvas as I have gone over the 100MB size limit :sob:
I need some advise please - how do I reduce the size? I am not using mods, only in game decorations from Vallyzoi for an example.
Any help or advise will be greatly appreciated - thank you:heart:

Have you tried taking these decorations out? They sound like mods for me(?) maybe they have a high polycount

Thank you for answering - I haven’t yet but I will try that - I am not sure how big they are but I will check on that. Are creations downloaded from Canvas considered mods as well? Sorry if it’s a stupid question, what I mean is I’m not downloading items that uses the mod kit

Yes, this confuses me too, in Sims there was CC and mods, but in inZOI it’s all mods.

Do you maybe have a link or pics to these items? Or of the lot? There are some other things that might bloat a lot, like many plants, for example. Or animated objects, or a huge amount of lights with the cast shadows toggled on.

:sweat_smile:oh man, then I’m in trouble:joy: I can send you a picture tomorrow when I’m back on inZOi ( I don’t have the pics on my phone) but yes, I have lots and lots of all that you mentioned. Is it ok if I send you a picture tomorrow?

Ah maybe then a pic is not necessary anymore ^^’

Thank you for helping me. I will look at what you’ve mentioned and I’m sure cutting back should help in reducing the upload size. Thanks again for your help - much appreciated

Maybe, if it should be the lights, turn the cast shadows off, so people who download the lot can turn them back on.

@LennyOgg :thankyou: Thank you so much for your suggestions - I managed to delete 2 cars and I found a very heavy polycount chair :sweat_smile:After deleting them, I was able to upload my house - much appreciated :custom_heart:

Ah I’m glad it worked out and you ‘only’ had to delete 3 objects!
How did you find out these objects were the ‘heaviest’ ones? The file size in the mods folder?

Long story :joy: first deleted all my custom decorations but didn’t notice much of a difference then the cars and chair, tried to upload the build intermittently to check file size and eventually managed (super long winded way of doing it, I guess - but now I know)
