[2.15.2026] Advises with the details of translating inZOI into Russian

I would like to advise the developers with some details of translating the game inZOI into Russian. I would like to do this on continuing basis & I would like to keep in regular communication with the developers on localization issues into Russian. (By E-mail? Or other ways?)
Because individual topics created on the forum will quickly get lost in the stream of messages.
I live in Russia, I was born here. Russian is my native language. I’m learning English on my own. I do not have a special higher education in linguistics.
You don’t have to hire me or pay me (although I will not refuse if you offer it to me).
I just want to help make the game inZOI better and more attractive. :handshake:

And for now I have some suggestions for enhancement the translation.

- 1) There is no such word as “Бебиситтер” in Russian (I write in Cyrillic, but I don’t know how the forum will translate it). There is an English word as “Babysitter”. In the previous old version of the game v0,5,0 the translation into Russian was CORRECT! There is a word in Russian as “Няня”. But after the last update, the translation indicates “Бебиситтер”. In short, it’s an English word “Babysitter”, but written in the Cyrillic alphabet!

No one in Russia says such that.

- 2) In the second example, there is a very simple error with using of plural and forms of noun.

The English version on the left is correct. But the Russian translation mistakenly uses wrong form of noun in plural, the dative case instead of the creative. It will be correct in Russian: “Давай станем партнерами, которые сделают друг друга сильнее!”.

This is a minor little mistake, few people will notice it at all.

- 3) The third example is not an error. But the previous translation option is in the old version of the game v0,5,0 was more more intuitive and logical (Better) in the context of the interaction itself. But not only the Russian translation was changed, but the English one too.

The previous translation in the old version v0,5,0 was “Play“ (in English), or “Играть” (in Russian), it’s describes the interaction better, than “Mess Around”/”Подурачься”

And I have many more such suggestions. I have given only 3 examples so as not to make this topic infinitely long.

I think the developers are already doing a lot of high-quality translation work. I just want to help make the game better

I haven’t played 0.6 yet. I’m currently on a break from Inzoi. But in 0.5, I had to switch to English very often because in Russian I didn’t understand what to do to fulfill a character’s urges. Unfortunately, I didn’t take any screenshots :frowning:

Unfortunately, I can’t remember everything, but there are a lot of such inaccuracies in the translation. For example, my zoi once got the urge “wants to catch fish for cooking” (in Russian). I caught a lot of different types of fish, but the urge wasn’t fulfilled. When I switched to English, it turned out it said “wants to cook a meal from the fish I caught.”

Oh, hello! Are You also playing with the Russian translation too?!
I think it would be nice if someone from the inZOI Russian-speaking community could communicate directly with the developers in order to promptly report inaccuracies in the Russian translation.
Because all the topics created here are quickly lost in the message stream.
All Russian-speaking players could send all their messages to one player (in comments to one topic), who would directly write the developers a complete list of errors.
I created this topic partly because I am ready to engage in such activities as searching for and collecting all errors in translation

Yes, I play in Russian.

That would be really cool! I hope the developers will be interested in your suggestion. One thread - yes, that would be more convenient. I’ve never reported translation errors because I thought it wouldn’t get much attention and the thread would get lost quickly anyway. But if everything is posted in one thread and there’s a separate person who takes care of it, I think the chances are much higher that the developers will notice all these translation inaccuracies and fix them faster.
