how are you all finding the zois autonomy?? i personally find it very boring and lacking and on par with the sims 4 we really need deep immersive autonomy that surprises the player the sims 2 autonomy is seems better than inzois right now and i really want this game to be great
I love the autonomy in this game to be honest, I don’t think it’s lacking. One of my zois appeared one day with a cute shiny jacket I didn’t put on her, then days after received a text from the police asking her to pay it, because apparently she stole the jacket from Nooks. Her shy hikkikomori brother started writing corny romance novels all on his own, I didn’t even intend him to be a writer, I just found the novels in his inventory when I wanted to check something else.
These are just small examples but I find the autonomy great, really. It’s a bit buggy lately as all the zois seem to interested in showering and using the toilets all the times even though their needs are full, but they are working on a hot fix so I’m waiting for that.
I haven’t disabled autonomy because I like that the Zois go their own way when you don’t control them, and there are fun surprises here and there. But at the moment, I’m bothered by the constant bathtub cleaning and the fact that they’re always running around the house with vacuum cleaners and brooms. So I’m stopping those actions.
But I don’t want to give up the Zois’ autonomy, and they’ve made me laugh quite a few times.
I find it much better than the sims , they keep their needs up and then do other things rather than the sims where you have to check on them constantly
I had the same funny things happening in my game. I also had the message after switching families (rotational play) that I have to go pay back for a stolen item at Nooks. And similar one of my Zois who I did plan to become a programmer decided to become a writer while I was not playing him, another became musician and had composed many songs.
Apart from that it is also my feeling that Zois who have been given preferences actually really perform the relevant actions for these preferences more often when they are left on their own. I hope we will get more preferences soon and thus be able to even more personalize our Zois.
My Zois spend almost all their free time vacuuming or looking in mirrors instead of having meaningful social lives. This makes the game feel like a ‘cleaning simulator’ rather than a life simulator. Please lower the weights of these autonomous idle actions
Yes… inZoi has actually become a cleaning simulator, with areas from the building menu that have fallen into very poor condition. My Zois are constantly running around the house with a broom or vacuum cleaner in their hands. I suspect that since inZoi is totally fixated on Discord, this isn’t being addressed here. Fortunately, you can cancel the actions.
Maybe just go into the city map /manage zois/manage city and turn up a bit the city sanitation bar, This way they clean up less often
