a simple feature from the sims that inzoi still doesn't have and it's driving me crazy

my actions should override the ones proposed by the zoi’s autonomy:

if my zoi is autonomously going to do something, it should automatically cancel that action if i ask it to do something else.

this is implemented in The Sims and it saves you time from constantly having to cancel the actions proposed by the zois so they execute yours

at the same time, zois should NOT cancel my actions to execute their own. the player should always have priority in their decisions

Yes, I agree. This is a very simple but important function.

Some actions should be idle as well. Only cancelling after a set period of time or if the player cancels it or if needs desperately need to be taken care of.

Yes, I agree with you :+1::two_hearts:

Absolutely, I agree with this. Some actions shouldn’t feel like they have to be completed immediately—they could simply remain idle until the player chooses to continue them. I would still like for my chosen action to take preference to the autonomous action. Welcome to the Forum @Jackgarland :custom_butterfly:

I can cancel almost any autonomous action of my Zoi, except - when she suddenly decides to extort money from other Zoi, steal money from the piggy bank on the shelf, steal money from a forgotten bag, or break into a container with drinks or chips, and it’s just some kind of nightmare :angry_face_with_horns:

another thing i’d like is for my zois to stop overriding my actions to do their own. is this happening to anyone else?

I believe Kjun mentioned in one of his recent weekly updates that autonomy is one of their top priorities right now and that they’re actively working on improving it. If you haven’t been following his weekly updates, I definitely recommend checking them out! They’re really helpful, and he posts new update videos on their YouTube channel every week.

I completely agree with this. I have experienced exactly the same issue. When I give my Zoi a specific command, for example to go to the bathroom or prepare food, the autonomy system can sometimes cancel my command and decide to do something else instead.

I think player commands should always have priority over autonomous actions. Autonomy should mainly take over when the player has not given the Zoi a specific instruction.

Ideally, the Zoi should follow the player’s command first, and then return to autonomous behavior once the requested action is completed. This would make the control system much more intuitive and would give the player a better sense of control over their characters.

It’s definitely something I would like to see improved in a future update. :+1:
