What Have I Missed?

Hey all :custom_heart:

I’ve not been able to indulge as much as I would like over the last few months :psycat_sad: but will be soon enough - curious what are some of everyone’s favorite changes? I did notice that the MODs interface got quite the facelift and looks AH-MAZING. Can’t wait to interact with it more.

So what changes have you really been into?

Only the positive please, want to keep this thread a happy read. Any guidance appreciated :thankyou:

I feel like I am so behind and hoping for a cheat sheet of all the new stuff to look forward to from the people I trust the most about the game - THE FORUM :psycat_thumbsup:

Just realized the newer interface for MODs houses the links to the different options…but I still like where it’s going.

Hope that the CurseForge interface is also prettied up the same way. :custom_butterfly:

Hey there, welcome back!
I agree with @JoyIsFunner, you didn’t miss much regarding gameplay. I think some of the newly added objects either in CAZ and in build mode might be right up your alley as designated stylist and builder.
Regarding the forum - we’ve gained quite a few new users and a lot more engagement and cool input from numerous players. I’m looking forward to reading what your next few gameplay hours had in store for you

Hi! Welcome back! Patch notes should give you a fair idea of the changes in the game.

Since the past few updates, the following has been added new to the game. Being new, these have their share of bugs. Hopefully, they will get sorted and new things added as we move ahead.

  • Farming was introduced along with the Cahaya DLC, which can also be done in other cities. Sowing seeds to selling produce activities can be engaging and span seasons.
  • Collecting gems, precious metals, fish and such, and crafting tools and items was introduced a few updates back. This too includes multiple activities and can span several in-game hours.
  • Opening and running your own business(es) has been recently introduced. This too can give several hours of game play.
  • More public areas have been added, such as clubs, which open new ways to engage and build relationships.

Each of the above has the potential to create long stories in the game. I feel they cater to different types of play styles, so it is good that the developers are increasing the game footprint. Hopefully the bugs and additional feature requests get looked at soon.

Not sure if you’ve tried the crime system yet but it is AWESOME, despite being only half-finished. You can also run your own business now, though I haven’t really tried out this feature yet. The devs added some nice new outfits and build items in the winter update and the recent Lunar New Year update, including some Korean-style outfits that allow you to perform special actions, such as a traditional Korean dance.

That is fair to say! I have hopped into CAZ a few times but have not done much gameplay at all over the last few updates and I have a bit of FOMO

I do not usually watch videos but maybe I will now! I prefer to read but since I feel I need to catch up, may need to switch it up :psycat_thumbsup:

I have not ever but I should! I have read other posts regarding it but never had a ZOI in jail or even court yet, lol. I am interested in the businesses aspect but have only had a few jobs in the game. :psycat_blush:

My goals are to start a business and go to jail - different ZOIs probably tho, lol :thankyou:

There have been also changes to the build mode and canvas in the last months.

Now building structures itself does not cost any money thus you can now manage to build much bigger starter houses compared to before. Also pools do not cost money, so starter house with a pool is no problem anymoe  Apart from that there are now modular windows which can be adjusted in size to your liking. And we finally have dining tables for 6 and for 8.

For Canvas in my perspective a very needed change is now that you can search for properties built on a specific lot by selecting the address. The only unfortunate thing is that only the builds from the last 2 months seem to be recognized by this search. I hope this will be adjusted as well. And you can now also search by price of the lot to show you only properties which fit to your budget.

Love these things and I definitely was not aware of those build specifics - I am excited to play around with them! :thankyou:
