-Better body representation for children and teens.
To be honest, this was one of the very first requests we received when we started developing inZOI. And honestly… when you build in full 3D, expanding body variety is really hard. Ah — if I could go back to that moment, I’d take a deep breath and try to tackle it with everything I’ve got… ::
Well I can only speak for myself, but PLEASE do not close the door.
If this is such a “costly” investment, then let me speak with my wallet… I’m serious.
I would be willing to pay for a DLC as long as one of the content of said DLC includes an Adolescent size (mid-point between Child and Teenager) ,
and also a new stage between toddler and child (let’s call it preschooler) with a height between the crawling toddler and the child.
If I see these 2 stages (or even one, but ideally we’d get both), it’s an automatic buy for me.
So again, please, do not close the door…
This is something very important that I am willing to pay for if need be.
Thank you.
It wasn’t clear to me whether he was referring to different body ‘stages’ for adolescents and toddlers, or just more body variety in general. He did mention the life stages separately:
We received requests for:
-Expanded family trees
-More realistic pregnancy and childbirth
-Better child/teen life stages
Either way it needs to be done at some point - it’s absurd that adolescents look basically the same as adults atm. But I get the feeling we’ll be waiting quite a while for it.
Oh? Oh well. At least my statement is gathering support quick.
If it gets seen all the better… And if the door was not really closed (yet) on Adolescents and Preschoolers then great !
If it gets done, it can take as long as it needs.
We are in early access and “place holders” are to be expected.
For the moment it all works (without a Preschooler stage at all), but it still works.
I agree, there is no way to tell teenagers from young adults appart, literally no way. I’ve had my zoi befriend some zoi and then realise is a teenager, it’s just bad design. Even if they have to redo some stuff by scratch, they should not keep teenagers looking like adults at all. I really hope they will rethink it and work on it at some point.
My own thought, but it’s probably too much to be implemented. but it would be very cool if every age was at least a month long, like 0 years old, 1 year old, …, 17 years, 18 years, …, 30 years, 31 years, and so on. and ofcorse this would need child growth (which would be the most work to design all these height simulations, so it’ll probably never be done) but also showing age progression in adult life, each year the zois looking more mature and gradually getting wrinkles
Tbh I don’t know how long a year is in inZOI because I haven’t played, so when I say at least a month long, it’s just my idea, I notice ppl say 48 minute day and 96 minute day and apparently they judge their playtime according to the game, I’m probably too used to playing aging turned off and baking cakes too age up Sims children and teens when I’m done skilling them lol
I might have to change some of my play styles when I finally play inZOI
If someone asked me what expensive, fundamental features I’d want to implement in inZOI in the remaining time, I’d definitely hold on to dynamic personality system and autonomy. But I’d also support age groups, including height changes and recording new animations. Yes, assuming ofc an additional team, because there’s absolutely no way to finish it before the deadline otherwise. And to somehow cover the cost of this whole pleasure – premium online, likely to support LLM cloud computing and offer additional MP features, plus paid exclusive content (especially for MP( such as branded clothing and furniture, professional hairstyles for salons, new cities and game-ready Canvastown templates.
I have no idea what LLM and MP means but this is what Google says, hopefully it helps others understand computing lingo
Key Aspects of Cloud LLMs:
Scalability & Performance: Leverage powerful GPUs/TPUs to run large-scale inference and training.
Model Access: Instant access to foundational models (e.g., GPT, Gemini) or specialized models.
LLMOps: Services often include tools for monitoring, evaluating, and managing prompt lifecycles.
Flexibility: Options range from managed API services to running open-source models in containers (e.g., via vLLM).
Security & Compliance: Cloud providers offer secure environments, though some organizations choose private clouds for maximum data control.
MP features" can refer to several different, unrelated products. Key options include:
MP Materials (Rare Earths): Operates the Mountain Pass mine, supplying >10% of global rare earth content, with a 2,500 x 3,000 ft open-pit mine, 600 ft depth, and high-grade 6.0% TREO.
MP MIDI Controller: Features 32 knobs, a touchscreen, automatic parameter mapping for VST/AU plugins, and the ability to control up to 128 parameters per plugin.
MP Systems (Pumps): Provides coolant pumps for machine tools, featuring compact, self-contained R-series designs, easy-maintenance filter baskets, and tool-free filter changes.
Leica MP Camera: A mechanical rangefinder camera featuring a built-in light meter, brass top plate, and manual controls.
/MP (MSVC Compiler): A Microsoft C++ compiler option that builds with multiple processes to reduce build times.
